"Sunday Night Football" Marks Its Best Week-Four Telecast Ever and the NFL's Best Week-Four Primetime Game in 16 Years
NBC spins the numbers for Sunday, September 30.

[via press release from NBC]

Sunday Results:

· Currently available fast-affiliate ratings are not time zone-adjusted and typically understate live NFL telecasts. Despite that, NBC is currently #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all key ratings categories: adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

· In time zone-adjusted metered-market results, the New York Giants-Philadelphia Eagles game was a dominant #1 with a 15.6 rating, 25 share in metered-market households from 8:30-11:45 p.m. ET, up 23 percent from the year-ago week-four game (12.7 for Jets-Ravens). In metered-market households, it was the best week-four "SNF" telecast ever and the NFL's best week-four primetime game in 16 years (since 1996). It's also the best primetime NFL game facing premiere-week competition on the broadcast nets since 1996.

· NBC dominated the night in metered-market households, averaging an 11.5/18 from 7-11 p.m., to win over Fox (8.0/12) by 44 percent, CBS (7.6/12) by 51 percent and ABC (5.8/9) by 98 percent.

· Top local markets were: Philadelphia 31.8/48, Richmond 22.1/33, Norfolk 22.0/33, Las Vegas 21.2/33, New York 20.7/31, Washington 18.0/30 and Baltimore 18.0/27.
