DISCOVERY CHANNEL'S "MOONSHINERS" BREAKS PREVIOUS VIEWERSHIP RECORDS WITH 3.65 MILLION VIEWERS ON DECEMBER 19

"AMISH MAFIA" Grabs 3.08 Million Viewers and #3 Position in All of Television in Male Viewers

Discovery Channel Beats CBS, NBC and ABC in Male Viewers in Prime Time

Discovery Channel's MOONSHINERS broke series viewership records on Wednesday, Dec. 19 with 3.65 million viewers. Currently in its second season, this marks the largest viewership the series has delivered in the history of the series. AMISH MAFIA delivered 3.08 million viewers which made it the #2 series on cable behind only MOONSHINERS.

Additionally, Discovery Channel finished as the #1 cable network on Wednesday evening in HH, P2+, P/M18+, P/M/W 25-54, P/M/W18-49 and P/M18-34 ratings and delivery. Discovery Channel also beat CBS, NBC and ABC among Men 25-54/18-49/18-34 delivery for the night.

MOONSHINERS at 10PM ET/PT earned a series best rating 2.56 HH, 2.24 P25-54 with 3.65 million total viewers P2 making it the #1 show in all of television, including broadcast television programming, among M25-54 and M18-49 delivery. It was also the #1 cable program among HH, P2+, P18+, P/M/W25-54, P/M/W18-49 and P/M18-34 delivery, no exclusions.

AMISH MAFIA at 9PM ET/PT earned a 2.12 HH, 1.87 P25-54 with 3.08 million total viewers P2+. It was the #2 cable show among P/M25-54 and P/M18-49 delivery behind only MOONSHINERS. AMISH MAFIA finished #3 in all of television and beat numerous broadcast television programs among Men 18-49 and 25-54 delivery, including ABC's "Modern Family", "The Neighbors", "The Middle", and "20/20"; CBS' "CSI", "Criminal Minds" and "Home for the Holidays"; and NBC's "Chicago Fire" and the "Miss Universe Pageant".
