"Nightline" Ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers for Second Straight Week
"Nightline" Improves ABC's Year-to-Year Performance at 12:35 am in Total Viewers (+18%) and Adults 25-54 (+3%); Only Show to Grow in Key Demos
In week 2 in its new 12:35 a.m. time-slot, "Nightline" drew 1.695 million Total Viewers, 739,000 Adults 25-54 and 517,000 Adults 18-49 for the week of January 14, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research. For the 2nd week in a row, "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers, outdrawing NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" by +39,000 and CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" by +295,000.
"Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show" during the week by +105,000 Adults 25-54 and by +45,000 Adults 18-49.

Week 2 of ABC's New Late-Night Lineup Marks the Net's 12th Win This Season
ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Retains Nearly All of its Premiere Week Audience
ABC's "Nightline" Ranks No. 1 in Viewers Versus CBS and NBC Two Weeks in a Row

During the second week of its new lineup of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" at 11:35 p.m. and "Nightline" at 12:35 a.m., ABC ranked as the No. 1 network in late-night once again in both Total Viewers (2.429 million) and Adults 18-49 (813,000), marking the Net's 12th victory in the 17 weeks this season.
· ABC's new late-night lineup saw growth over the Net's performance on the year-ago week (2.392 million on w/o 1/16/12) for the 2nd week in a row in Total Viewers (+2%)
"Jimmy Kimmel Live" (M-F 11:35 p.m.)
Featuring Matt Damon's takeover of Kimmel's late-night show on Thursday (1/24/13), ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live ranked" as the No. 1 program in late-night in both Households (2.92 rating) and Adults 18-49 (1.23 rating) in Nielsen's 56 Metered Markets. Thursday's telecast marked "JKL's" top rated in HH yet since moving to 11:35 p.m., and its 2nd-strongest in young adults.
· In the key Adult 18-49 demo, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" beat NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" by 62% (0.76) and CBS' "The Late Show with David Letterman" by 120% (0.56).
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "JKL" ranked No. 1 in 9 of the Top 10 U.S. markets in Adults 18-49, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
Based on National ratings for the week of January 14, 2013, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" retained nearly all of its overall audience from the prior week (91% - 2.743 million vs. 3.017 million), despite airing a recap clip show on Friday.
· "JKL" topped NBC's "The Tonight Show" for the 2nd week in a row in Adults 18-34 (+3% - 352,000 vs. 343,000). In addition, the ABC late-night program beat the NBC program in Adults 18-49 on 2 of its 4 original telecasts during the week (Wednesday and Thursday).
· For the 2nd straight week, "JKL" beat CBS' "The Late Show" in both Adults 18-49 (+6% - 939,000 vs. 888,000) and Adults 18-34 (+17% - 352,000 vs. 302,000). In fact, "JKL" led "The Late Show" on each of its 4 original broadcasts of the week in Adults 18-49.
· On Thursday (1/17/13), with guest appearances by Mark Wahlberg, Jennifer Lopez and "Science Bob" Pflugfelder, "JKL" delivered its most-watched regular telecast ever (3.210 million).
On average for the 2012-13 season (17 weeks), ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is up through the same point last season by 13% in Total Viewers (2.022 million vs. 1.784 million), marking its biggest-ever audience through this point in a season, and retains 100% of its year-ago Adult 18-49 audience (690,000). In addition, "JKL" is the only late-night broadcast talk show to grow its overall audience year over year.
