Some early points on Jimmy Kimmel Live's numbers, ahead of the regular press release:

During the week of September 9, 2013, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live grew for the 2nd straight week in Adults 18-49 (+13%) to post its best performance this summer, excluding the NBA finals weeks in June. In fact, JKL scored its best non-NBA finals week since early May in the key young adult demo - since the week of 5/6/13.

JKL soared over the year-ago week by 50% among Adults 18-49, marking its 7th straight week of year-over-year growth.

· ABC's JKL beat CBS' The Late Show with David Letterman for the 2nd week in a row with Adults 18-49 (+14%), leading the CBS late night program by double- or triple-digit margins on 4 of the 5 days of the week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). In fact, Friday's repeat broadcast of JKL outdelivered an original telecast of Letterman by 11% with young adults.

With its late-night lineup of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" at 11:35 p.m. and "Nightline" at 12:35 a.m. during the week of September 9, 2013, ABC scored double-digit week-to-week growth for the 2nd week in a row in Adults 18-49 (+15% - 716,000 vs. 622,000) to deliver a 12-week high - since the week of 6/17/13.

ABC was up over the year-ago week in late-night by 13% in Adults 18-49 (631,000 on w/o 9/10/12).

· ABC ranked as the week's No. 1 broadcaster in late-night in Adults 18-49 (716,000), topping NBC by 3% (695,000) and CBS by 23% (583,000).

During the week of September 9, 2013, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" grew for the 2nd straight week in Adults 18-49 (+13% - 815,000 vs. 724,000) to post its best performance this summer, excluding the NBA finals weeks in June. · Jimmy Kimmel's reveal on Monday that he was behind the Twerk video prank earned 10,451 tweets to make "JKL" the No. 1 most social broadcast late-night series on the night, beating runner-up "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" by +7% (9,767 tweets).

· The #twerkfail and #jimmykimmel hashtags drove the most Twitter traffic on Monday (9/9/13).

"Nightline" (M-F 12:35 a.m.)

ABC News' "Nightline" averaged 1.408 million Total Viewers, 601,000 Adults 25-54 and 518,000 Adults 18-49 for the week of September 9, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show" in Total Viewers (+129,000), Adults 25-54 (+30,000) and Adults 18-49 (+64,000).

"Nightline" grew week to week (570,000 and 422,000, respectively, on w/o 9/2/13) for the 2nd week in a row in Adults 25-54 (+5%) and Adults 18-49 (+23%), hitting a 12-week high in Adults 18-49 - since w/o 6/17/13.

"Nightline" improved on ABC's performance in the time slot in the same week last year (1.335 million and 483,000, respectively, on w/o 9/10/12) in Total Viewers (+5%) and Adults 18-49 (+7%). In fact, the ABC late-night news program has posted Total Viewer year-to-year increases in 6 of the last 7 weeks.
