NBC Wins Tuesday in 18-49, "Voice" Up 15% vs. Year-Ago Debut; Record Ratings for "Chicago Fire," Wins 10 p.m. Hour

Tuesday Results:

NBC is the Tuesday winner in 18-49 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox with "The Voice" jumping 15% above its year-ago Tuesday debut and "Chicago Fire" winning the 10 p.m. hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 with record ratings.

For the first time in eight years, NBC has won Tuesday of premiere week in 18-49 among the Big 4 networks (first time since 2005).

NBC has now won the opening two nights of the season with entertainment programming for the first time in the history of People Meters (dating back to September 1987).

All four NBC telecasts on Monday and Tuesday so far this week are up versus premiere week last year in 18-49 and total viewers.

· From 8-10:01 p.m. ET, the Tuesday season debut of "The Voice" (4.6 rating, 13 share in adults 18-49, 14,1 million viewers overall) is #1 for the two-hour time period in adults 18-49, 18-34, 25-54 and other key measures, with jumps versus the show's year-ago Tuesday debut of 15% in 18-49 rating (to a 4.6 from a 4.0) and 24% in total viewers (14.137 million vs. 11.418 million).

· "The Voice" delivered its top Tuesday debut in 18-49 since the show's series premiere on April 26, 2011 (5.1) and biggest Tuesday debut overall in total viewers, topping even that series debut. "The Voice" is tied for the #1 rating of the night (4.6 from 8-10 p.m. vs. "Marvel's Agents of Shield," 4.6 from 8-10). "The Voice" grew 1.6 rating points or 43% from its first half-hour to its fourth (to a 5.3 from a 3.7).

· From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, the second season premiere of "Chicago Fire" (2.8/8 in 18-49, 9.2 million viewers overall) set series records in 18-49 and total viewers to win the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and other key measures.

· "Chicago Fire" beat its year-ago premiere by 47% in 18-49 rating (2.8 vs. 1.9 on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012) and by 40% in total viewers (9.254 million vs. 6.614 million). Versus its one prior telecast with a "Voice" lead-in, "Chicago Fire" is up 27% in 18-49 rating (2.8 vs. 2.2 on November 7, 2012) and up 32% in total viewers (9.254 million vs. 7.034 million).

· The last time NBC won a premiere-week Tuesday in 18-49 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox was Sept. 20, 2005 with "The Biggest Loser," "My Name is Earl," "The Office" and "Law & Order: SVU." Versus last year's premiere Tuesday, NBC is up 43% in 18-49 (4.0 vs. 2.8) and up 66% in total viewers (12.509 million vs. 7.527 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

For the first time in eight years, NBC has won Tuesday of premiere week in 18-49 among the Big 4 networks and has now won the opening two nights of the season with entertainment programming for the first time in the history of People Meters (dating back to September 1987).

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.5/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 3.2/9; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/6.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.6/4 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) trailed CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.5/6). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/4).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
