"60 MINUTES" IS #3 FOR THE WEEK AND IS SUNDAY'S MOST-WATCHED PRIME PROGRAM
Broadcast Posts Highest Weekly Rank and Best Delivery in
Viewers and Key Demos since Dec. 16, 2012
60 MINUTES drew nearly 18 million viewers to lead all primetime programs Sunday night and finish the week at #3, its highest ranking and most viewers (17.94 million) since Dec. 16, 2012. The broadcast also delivered its best rating in the key demos since that date, posting a 5.1/12 in adults 25-54 and 3.8 /10 in adults 18-49.
In households, 60 MINUTES delivered an 11.1/17 to rank #2 for the week by that measurement, according to Nielsen live-plus-same-day ratings for Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013. That rating and rank were also the program's best since Dec. 16, 2012.
Sunday's broadcast featured Steve Kroft's report on the federal disability insurance program, Lara Logan's story on the battle that inspired the film "Black Hawk Down," and an Anderson Cooper segment on potentially dangerous near-Earth objects such as comets and asteroids.
