TBS' Exclusive 2013 NLCS Coverage Continues to Deliver Strong Audience Growth

NLCS Averaging 4.7 Million Total Viewers Through Three Games, Up 34%

TBS' exclusive presentation of the National League Championship Series (NLCS) featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals continues to generate significant audience increases over the 2011 NLCS - the last time the network aired the NLCS - between the Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers. Through three telecasts, this year's coverage is averaging a 3.1 U.S. HH rating and 4.7 million total viewers, up 35% and 34% over a 2.3 U.S. HH rating and 3.5 million total viewers for the comparable number of games in 2011.

The network's two NLCS primetime telecasts this year have averaged a 3.4 U.S. HH rating and 5.2 million total viewers, up 42% and 37% compared with a 2.4 U.S. HH rating and 3.8 million total viewers for first two comparable primetime games during the 2011 NLCS.

Last night's NLCS Game 3 telecast averaged 4.8 million total viewers and a 3.1 U.S. HH rating, up 12% and 11% over an average of 4.3 million total viewers and a 2.8 U.S. HH rating for Game 3 of the 2011 NLCS. The telecast peaked with a 3.8 HH rating from 10:15-10:30 p.m.

Locally, the game earned a 28.9 HH rating in St. Louis and an 11.4 HH rating in Los Angeles. Through three games, L.A. is averaging a 10.7 HH rating, up 28% from an 8.4 HH rating over the first three games of the 2009 NLCS, the last time the Dodgers appeared in the LCS.

TBS' exclusive coverage of the 2013 NLCS continues tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 15, with Game 4 of the best-of-seven series at 8 p.m. The network will preview the action with the MLB Postseason Pre-Game on TBS presented by Jeep at 7:30 p.m.
