Night Three of "The Sing-Off" Ranks #2 in Its Highly Competitive Time Period, Out-Rating FOX's "The X Factor" for a Second Straight Night
NBC spins the numbers for Thursday, December 12.

Thursday Primetime Results:

· From 8-9 p.m. ET, night three of "The Sing-Off" (1.4/4 in adults 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in the highly competitive time period, out-rating Fox's "The X Factor" (1.4 vs. 1.2) for a second straight night. "The Sing-Off" also ranked #2 in the hour among those networks in men and women 18-49, adults, men (tie) and women 18-34 and men 25-54. "The Sing-Off" was up by 8% versus NBC's slot averages for last season in 18-49 rating (1.4 vs. 1.3, L+SD non-sports) and up by 31% in total viewers (4.528 million vs. 3.461 million).

· Despite a three-week break, "Sean Saves the World" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.4 million viewers overall from 9-9:30 p.m. ET) returned with its top 18-49 and total-viewer results since Nov. 7, up 11% versus its prior telecast on Nov. 21 in 18-49 (1.0 vs. 0.9) and up 15% in total viewers (3.433 million vs. 2.989 million). L+7 Time-Shifting: The Nov. 21 "Sean Saves the World" grew by 36% or 0.31 of a rating point going from its L+SD rating to L+7 (0.87 to 1.18).

· With its first telecast in three weeks, "The Michael J. Fox Show" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) matched its prior rating on Nov. 21 and was up 5% in total viewers (3.047 million vs. 2.892 million). L+7 Time-Shifting: The Nov. 21 "Michael J. Fox Show" grew by 41% or 0.35 of a rating point going from its L+SD rating to L+7 (0.86 to 1.21).

· With its first telecast in three weeks, "Parenthood" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m.) matched its prior rating on Nov. 21 and was up 8% in total viewers (3.937 million vs. 3.653 million). In total viewers, it's the top "Parenthood" (3.937 million) since Oct. 24 (3.946 million). Note that "Parenthood" is a highly time-shifted show, with its prior telecast adding 82% to its 18-49 rating going from these L+SD results to L+7 (see details below).

· Despite the 10 p.m. hour, "Parenthood" grew half-hour to half-hour by 8% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 1.2) and held steady or grew in every other key ratings measure.

· L+7 Time-Shifting: The Nov. 21 "Parenthood" grew by 82% or 0.98 of a rating point going from its L+SD rating to L+7 (1.20 to 2.18).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.4/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.9/8; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.4/6.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.1/5.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.6/4 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
