FOX Has 4 of the Top 20 Programs Among Adults 18-34 and Teens
FOX spins the numbers for the week of September 29-October 5.

NATIONAL NIELSEN RATINGS FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 29 - OCTOBER 5, 2014

A strong Week Two delivery by GOTHAM and steady performances by NEW GIRL, THE MINDY PROJECT, BONES and RED BAND SOCIETY drove FOX's rating last week. Overall, FOX had:

· 1 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-49: GOTHAM (No. 12).

· 4 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-34: GOTHAM (No. 11), FAMILY GUY (No. 12 tie), THE SIMPSONS (No. 12 tie) and BROOKLYN NINE-NINE (No. 16).

· 4 of the Top 20 programs among Teens: GOTHAM (No. 11 tie), THE SIMPSONS (No. 11 tie), FAMILY GUY (No. 13) and RED BAND SOCIETY (No. 15).

Program and Nightly Highlights

Monday: FOX (2.3/6) aired the second episodes of GOTHAM (2.8/8 LS > 4.2/13 L3) and SLEEPY HOLLOW (1.7/5 LS > 2.6/7 L3) last Monday. GOTHAM was the highest-rated drama of the night in Adults 18-34 (2.3/8), and tied CBS' Big Bang Theory lead-out, Scorpion (4.2/12 L3), as the second highest-rated drama of the night, just behind NBC's Blacklist (4.3/13). Both GOTHAM and SLEEPY HOLLOW saw lifts of at least +50% in the Live + 3 ratings..

Tuesday: On Tuesday, UTOPIA (0.8/3 LS > 1.1/4 L3) led into NEW GIRL (1.3/4 LS > 2.0/6 L3), which grew +54% after three days of delayed viewing. THE MINDY PROJECT (1.1/3 LS > 1.6/5 L3) closed the night and increased by +45% in Live +3. In L7, NEW GIRL and MINDY are expected to deliver a 2.1 and a 1.7 respectively.

Wednesday: Week three of RED BAND SOCIETY (1.1/3 LS > 1.7/5 L3) was within one-tenth of its last two Live + 3 ratings (1.8/6), showing steady performance for the third consecutive week. HELL'S KITCHEN (1.4/5 LS > 1.9/7 L3) was up one-tenth from the previous week's delivery (1.8/6 L3). RED BAND SOCIETY was the No. 1 drama of the night among teens.

Thursday: BONES (1.5/5 LS >2.3 L3), saw another big ratings gain (+53%) after three days of delayed viewing. The debut of GRACEPOINT (1.2/3) exceeded FOX's projections and delivered a 1.7 rating in the Live +3s.

Friday: Week four of UTOPIA-FRI (0.6/3 LS) aired at 8pm, followed by a GOTHAM encore (0.5/2 LS) at 9pm.

Saturday: FOX averaged a 0.7/3 on Saturday with COLLEGE FOOTBALL (0.7/3, Arizona State/USC).

Sunday: FOX's Sunday comedy block aired without a football lead-in last week, starting with a special encore of THE SIMPSONS (0.6/2) at 7pm. At 7:30pm. the season premiere of BOB'S BURGERS (1.4/5) gained +56% from last season's finale among Adults 18-49 (0.9/4) and outperformed last fall's average in the time period by +17% (vs. 1.2). BROOKLYN NINE-NINE (1.6/4) followed an 8pm original of THE SIMPSONS (2.0/6) and retained more of its SIMPSONS lead-in last week than its premiere week (80% vs 67%). The week after its one-hour crossover event, FAMILY GUY (1.9/5) was still the highest-rated entertainment program of the night among Men 18-34 (2.6/8). The series debut of MULANEY closed the night with a 1.0/3.
