BRAVO MEDIA'S "TOP CHEF" EARNS SEASON HIGH WITH NEARLY 2 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS
NEW YORK, NY - January 12, 2015 - Bravo Media's "Top Chef" earned a season high with 1.9 million total viewers and 1.1 million P18-49 (1/7/15), according to Nielsen Live+3 data. The Emmy Award-winning culinary competition series' increased 14 percent in P18-49 and 9 percent in total viewers over the prior episode (12/17/14). Wednesday's episode featured a tribute to culinary legend Julia Child and featured Andy Cohen, host of "Watch What Happens Live," as the guest judge in the Quickfire Challenge.
A brand new episode of "Top Chef" Season 12 airs Wednesday, January 14 at 10pm ET/PT as the chefs get a big shock when they find out their family members will serve as their sous chefs in their next Elimination Challenge. In a twist, the chefs cannot touch the appetizers, leaving solely their family members responsible for that dish. With an automatic ticket to the "Top Chef" finals on the line, the chefs' nearest and dearest must take orders quickly if they are to hold up their end of the meal.
Beginning Wednesday, January 21, "Top Chef" will move to 9pm ET/PT and lead in to the series premiere of Bravo's newest culinary competition series "Best New Restaurant" hosted by Tom Colicchio. Colicchio also serves as judge and executive producer of the series which takes a look at the food world from a fresh perspective: the restaurant. Sixteen restaurants from New York City, Los Angeles, Austin, and Miami will compete head-to-head and be evaluated on not only the dishes that are served, but also everything from décor to hospitality to overall concept. In the end, only one will be crowned Best New Restaurant and win an editorial feature in Bon Appétit, a featured spot at America's number one global food festival, Vegas Uncork'd by Bon Appétit 2015, and $100,000.
