Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Demos for Sixth Consecutive Week

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/9/15):

CBS (9.276 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) was the network to beat on Thursday with new episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" (14.638 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.4, #1), "The Odd Couple" (9.912 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T2), "Mom" (9.209 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #4), a repeat "The Big Bang Theory" (8.007 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #5) and "Elementary" (6.944 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6).

The silver then went to ABC (5.500 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) with an encore of the "Grey's Anatomy" (4.751 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #8) pilot followed by new episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" (7.331 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T2) and "American Crime" (4.416 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #11).

Next up was NBC (4.584 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with repeats of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.374 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9), "The Blacklist" (4.107 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12) and a new "Dateline NBC" (5.270 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6).

Meanwhile, FOX (4.187 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) served up new episodes of "Bones" (4.997 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9) and "Backstrom" (3.377 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12).

And finally, a repeat of "The Flash" (0.983 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T14) and a second "The Flash" (1.105 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T14) on The CW (1.044 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former delivered a 0.3 rating at 8:00/7:00c and the latter a 0.3 rating at 9:00/8:00c.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.4/7; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore delayed by golf coverage; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.7/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden " (0.9/3 with an encore delayed by golf coverage). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.7/5 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.2/2 with an encore delayed by golf coverage).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (4/10/14):

CBS (9.764 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T1) was the most-watched network on Thursday with its usual mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (15.988 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.6, #1), "The Millers" (10.237 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.6, #3), "Two and a Half Men" (9.618 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.4, #5), "The Crazy Ones" (6.922 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T6) and "Elementary" (7.909 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T6).

The Eye however shared the adults 18-49 crown with ABC (7.916 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T1) and its lineup of "Shark Tank" (6.572 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.6, #9), "Grey's Anatomy" (8.092 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.5, #4) and "Scandal" (9.083 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 3.0, #2).

Next up was FOX (5.003 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) and originals from "Hell's Kitchen" (4.075 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.4, #10), "American Idol" (7.530 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T6) and "Surviving Jack" (4.333 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #11).

Meanwhile, NBC (2.954 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) served up new episodes of "Community" (2.616 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.8, #15) and "Parks & Recreation" (2.564 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.0, #13) alongside a repeat "Hollywood Game Night" (2.654 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #14) and a new "Parenthood" (3.619 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.1, #12).

And finally, a repeat "The Vampire Diaries" (0.906 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.3, #17) and a new "Reign" (1.190 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.4, #16) on The CW (1.048 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) finished out the night.
