Friday's "Dateline" Hits Three-Week Highs in 18-49 and Total Viewers

NBC WINS FRIDAY AMONG THE BIG 4 IN 18-49 WITH 'DATELINE NBC' THE NIGHT'S #1 SHOW ON THOSE NETS

FRIDAY'S 'DATELINE' HITS THREE-WEEK HIGHS IN 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS

A 'TALENT' ENCORE TIES FOR #2 FOR THE NIGHT IN 18-49

Friday Primetime Results:

· "Dateline NBC" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, as well as adults 25-54 (1.4).

· "Dateline NBC" grew +11% week to week in adult 18-49 rating (1.0 vs. 0.9) and +5% in total viewers (4.970 million vs. 4.740 million) to deliver three-week Friday highs in both measures (best since July 10, 1.1 in 18-49, 4.986 million viewers overall) (and note that "Dateline" is close to rounding up to a 1.1 in 18-49, currently reporting a 1.043 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings).

· "Dateline NBC" won the 10-11 p.m. ET slot among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key demos.

· Upscale: The prior Friday's "Dateline NBC" was the top upscale Big 4 program of the night among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (108 index) and with four or more years of college (105 index).

· "Dateline NBC" will add substantial viewership via time-shifting -- Friday's "Dateline" is increasing by +25% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.16 to a 1.45) and 955,000 viewers overall (5.8 million to 6.8 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

· An encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (0.8/4 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) tied for the #2 rating of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49 (with ABC's "What Would You Do" and "20/20," 0.8 each).

· The rebroadcast of "America's Got Talent" tied for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults, men and women 18-49, and matched the show's 18-49 rating in this time period with encores the prior two weeks.

· The "America's Got Talent" encore grew +50% from its first half-hour to its fourth in 18-49 (0.6 to 0.9) and by +26% in total viewers (3.2 million to 4.0 million).

For the night, NBC ranked #1 among the Big 4 in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key measures.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.9/7; "CBS Summer Showcase," 1.6/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.3/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.9/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
