Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX, NBC Split Adults 18-49 Crown

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (5/30/18):

NBC (4.534 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) and FOX (3.611 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) shared the demo crown on Wednesday as the latter served up the season premiere of "MasterChef" (3.436 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and a second "MasterChef" (3.786 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2).

The Peacock then offered up the return of "American Ninja Warrior" (5.350 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) and the premiere of "Reverie" (2.902 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6).

Next up was CBS (5.496 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) with a repeat "SEAL Team" (3.978 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11) followed by a new "Code Black" (6.285 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) and a second "Code Black" (6.225 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.426 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) served up its all-repeat lineup of "The Goldbergs" (3.238 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6), another "The Goldbergs" (2.742 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6), "Modern Family" (2.379 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6), "American Housewife" (2.185 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11), another "Modern Family" (2.097 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6) and another "American Housewife" (1.916 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #13).

And finally, The CW (0.821 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) rounded out the night with a repeat "Supergirl" (0.808 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #15) and a new "The Originals" (0.835 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/2 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (5/31/17):

FOX (3.448 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) was the demo champ on Wednesday with the summer premieres of "MasterChef" (3.522 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) and "The F Word with Gordon Ramsay" (3.375 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2).

NBC (4.736 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then was the silver draw with the relocated "Little Big Shots" (7.556 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1), the season premiere of "The Carmichael Show" (4.263 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4), another "The Carmichael Show" (3.483 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #5) and a repeat "This Is Us" (2.780 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6).
