Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC, CBS Share Demo Honors on Valentine's Day

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/14/19):

CBS (6.690 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) was the top draw on Thursday with repeats of "The Big Bang Theory" (8.239 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) and "Young Sheldon" (7.685 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) followed by originals from "Mom" (7.622 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3), "Fam" (5.473 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T8) and "SWAT" (5.561 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #7).

ABC (4.695 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) then shared in the demo honors with its trio of "Grey's Anatomy" (6.538 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1), "A Million Little Things" (4.975 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #6) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (2.573 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T13).

Next up was NBC (3.750 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) with fresh installments from "The Titan Games" (4.321 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (2.585 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T8), "Will & Grace" (2.962 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11) and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.156 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.704 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) offered up new episodes of "Gotham" (2.323 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T13) and "The Orville" (3.085 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11).

And finally, The CW (0.657 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the evening with the special "The Top Greatest Valentine Movies of All Time" (0.803 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T15) and a repeat "Legacies" (0.512 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T15).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.3/5. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (2/15/18):

NBC (16.032 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.9, #1) continued its reign on Thursday with its primetime coverage of the "2018 Winter Olympics" (16.032 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.9, #1).

CBS (5.525 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then was a distant second with its repeat lineup of "The Big Bang Theory" (7.319 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2), "Young Sheldon" (7.036 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3), another "The Big Bang Theory" (6.075 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3), "Mom" (4.911 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5) and "SWAT" (3.906 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #8).

Next up was ABC (3.259 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) with night two of "The Bachelor Winter Games" (3.015 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #7) plus the special "20/20: Roseanne - The Return" (3.747 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.494 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) opted for repeats of "Gotham" (1.282 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) and "9-1-1" (1.708 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #9).

And finally, second runs of "Supernatural" (0.852 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) and "Arrow" (0.612 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #12) likewise rounded out the night on The CW (0.732 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).
