Friday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Competitive Night

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/23/21):

NBC (3.476 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T1) was the top draw on a competitive Friday with its duo of "The Blacklist" (3.334 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T4) and "Dateline NBC" (3.547 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T2).

ABC (2.735 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T1) shared in the demo honors with "Shark Tank" (3.927 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #1) and "20/20" (2.139 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T4) as did FOX (2.042 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T1) with "WWE SmackDown" (2.042 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T2).

Meanwhile, CBS (3.295 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.3, #4) opted for repeats of "MacGyver" (3.008 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T6), "Magnum P.I." (3.287 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T6) and "Blue Bloods" (3.591 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T6) as well as The CW (0.867 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) with "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.832 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T9), another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.876 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T9) and "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (0.879 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T9).

Next up was NBC (4.671 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) with new episodes of "The Blacklist" (4.815 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5) and "Dateline NBC" (4.600 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5).
