MEDIA ALERT
"Opry 100: A Live Celebration" drew 5.3 million viewers Wednesday night across NBC and Peacock.
It was the most-watched program of the night among all the broadcast networks against mostly original programming.
Hosted by Blake Shelton, "Opry 100" showed impressive growth in its first four half-hours and continued to hold up well as its final half-hour surpassed its first.
Notable performances included Reba McEntire delivering an emotional tribute to two of country's most beloved icons, Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, in a heartfelt and powerful rendition celebrating their irreplicable contributions to the genre; Post Malone & Travis Tritt performing an unforgettable version of Tritt's classic hit, "T.R.O.U.B.L.E."; Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood honoring George Jones & Tammy Wynette with a tribute to two of country music's most influential duos; and Carly Pearce paying homage to the Queen of Country, Dolly Parton.
The winning performance of "Opry 100: A Live Celebration" is another example of NBCUniversal's unrivaled stature in live programming.
NBCU shapes culture with more live events across broadcast and streaming than any other media company.
The telecast was executive produced by Silent House Productions' Emmy Award winners Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco and Linda Gierahn, along with R.A. Clark and Steve Buchanan.
