2024 (Paramount Network) - Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, Patrick J. Adams and Beau Garrett are on track to topline Taylor Sheridan's latest "Yellowstone" iteration, tentatively titled "The Madison." No character details however were given. Said report indicates it "is rumored to follow wealthy matriarch Stacy Clyburn and her family as they leave New York City and head to Montana in the wake of her husband and brother-in-law's tragic deaths in a plane crash." Production begins later this month. (TVLine.com, 8/1)
9-1-1: LONE STAR (FOX) - Jackson Pace's Wyatt Harris will return as a regular for the series' fifth season. (Deadline.com, 8/2)
AGENCY, THE (Showtime) - John Magaro has boarded the espionage political thriller as Owen, "an Operations Officer and agent handler." (Deadline.com, 8/1)
BAT BOY (Netflix, New!) - Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Joe Tracz are set to team for a new series based on the famed tabloid anomaly: "In the coming-of-age series adaptation, the titular character is a teen named Bobby Bates. With the help of fellow teens Charisma and her weird sister Olive, Bobby re-enters mainstream society after living in seclusion on the outskirts in the remnants of a long-dissipated carnival. When Bobby enrolls at Cypressville High, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery while attempting to find his place among his new peers and society and trying to solve a mystery bubbling up from the Florida swamps. All that while rocking his half-bat-like features like sharp teeth and pointy ears - oh, there's also the small matter of his need for human blood. Think, Edward Scissorhands meets Nightmare Alley-ish." Jimmy Gibbons of Muckle Man Productions and Weekly World News CEO/Editor-in-Chief Greg D'Alessandro will also executive produce for Warner Bros. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (Peacock) - The streamer has formally passed on its long-in-the-works reboot series from executive producer Sam Esmail. Michael Lesslie was originally tapped to pen the project with Derek Simonds taking over earlier this year. Producer Universal Content Productions plans to shop it elsewhere. (Variety.com, 7/31)
BEAST GAMES (Amazon) - The publication has released an investigation into the reality series detailing the negative experiences of the contestants involved. (NYTimes.com, 8/2)
CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - Jake Lockett's Sam Carver will return for the show's 13th season as a regular. Additionally, KaDee Strickland is slated to recur as Monica Pascal, "the new Fire Chief Dom Pascal's (Dermot Mulroney) estranged wife." (Deadline.com, 8/1; TVLine.com, 8/1)
CHICAGO PD (NBC) - Toya Turner has joined the cast of the series' 12th season as Kiana Cook, "a patrol officer who loves the adrenaline of the job and its stakes and doesn't blink in the face of chaos." (TVLine.com, 7/31)
CITADEL (Amazon) - Matt Berry and Gabriel Leone will both recur on the show's sophomore run in unspecified roles. (Deadline.com, 8/2)
EVERY YEAR AFTER (Amazon, New!) - Amazon MGM Studios has commissioned a series adaptation of Carley Fortune's novel "Every Summer After," described as "a fun, sweeping, romantic story that asks the question, what if your first love actually was your soulmate?" Leila Gerstein is spearheading the project, which Fortune will also executive produce. (Deadline.com, 7/31)
FIRE COUNTRY (CBS) - Leven Rambin is slated to recur on the new season as Audrey, "a former fire camp inmate. Audrey presents with the grit and tenacity that her tattoos and prison record imply, we hear, but upon first smile she reveals the soulful spirit of a gifted musician and empath." (TVLine.com, 8/1)
FORGIVE & FORGET (ABC) - The Alphabet has passed on the Ty Burrell-led comedy pilot, which "follows perennial life of the party Hank (Burrell). After an unexpected diagnosis, Hank reconnects with his responsible adult son Ben in hopes of making new memories together." (Deadline.com, 7/29)
HOME TEAM (Amazon, New!) - Emmy winner Eric Stonestreet is attached to star in a single-camera comedy at the streamer which "follows now-stuck Scott Hansen (Stonestreet) as he moves his dad into a retirement community, begins to get his life back on track in a new workplace and starts to learn how to finally live in the moment from folks who have a lot fewer moments left." Stonestreet co-created the project alongside Jason Belleville with Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz and Ben Brown of Omaha Productions; Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Jason Wang of The Tannenbaum Company; and Steven Kavovit of Thruline Entertainment also executive producing for Amazon MGM Studios. LANDO (Disney+) - Executive producer Justin Simien has confirmed the Donald Glover-led "Star Wars" series is not moving forward. (Deadline.com, 8/2)
LOOT (Apple TV+) - Production on the series' third season, previously scheduled for August 26, has been paused while Maya Rudolph reprises her role as Vice President Kamala Harris on "Saturday Night Live" this fall. (Deadline.com, 7/31)
MAN ON FIRE (Netflix) - Bobby Cannavale will guest on the Yahya Abdul-Mateen II-led drama as Paul Rayburn, "an ex-Special Forces soldier who possesses a unique ability to read people. He is charming, nurturing, and protective of those he cares for. Despite his warm, fatherly nature, his years of service in the field have given him an acute awareness of violence and human behavior. Quick-witted and incredibly intellectual, he is likely to have all the answers, and if not, he will find them." (Variety.com, 8/2)
MORNING SHOW, THE (Apple TV+) - Boyd Holbrook has scored a recurring role on the series as Brodie, "a popular and provocative podcaster and talk show host." (Deadline.com, 7/30)
POWER BOOK III: RAISING KANAN (Starz) - Chris Redd and Pardison Fontaine are both bound for the show's fourth season. Redd will recur as Early Tyler, "a trustworthy ally and secret-keeper. Early Tyler is a neighborhood institution and a good friend to have in your corner - if you can afford the high financial price of his friendship." And Fontaine will play B-Rilla, "a raw, volatile, and incredibly talented young rapper serving a prison sentence for armed robbery." (Deadline.com, 7/30)
RENEGADE NELL (Disney+) - The streamer has nixed the series after one season. (Deadline.com, 7/30)
SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE (NBC) - Punkie Johnson and Molly Kearney have both confirmed their exits from the series in advance of its 50th season. (Deadline.com, 8/2)
SHIFTING GEARS (ABC) - The Tim Allen-led comedy pilot has been ordered to series, which "centers on Matt (Allen), the stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop. When Matt's estranged daughter Riley (Kat Dennings) and her kids move into his house, the real restoration begins." Daryl "Chill" Mitchell, Maxwell Simkins and Barrett Margolis also star. Creators Mike Scully and Julie Thacker Scully however are no longer part of the 20th Television-based project, while the role of Nick (Froy Gutierrez) is being recast. (Deadline.com, 7/29)
SPIDER-NOIR (MGM+) - Abraham Popoola is the latest to board the Nicolas Cage-led series. He's believed to be playing "a World War I veteran who is looking for an opportunity to get ahead." Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, and Li Jun Li also star. (Variety.com, 7/31)
SUITS: L.A. (NBC) - Filming on the series is slated to take place in Los Angeles after filming its pilot in Vancouver. (Variety.com, 8/1)

UNTITLED BLUE STONE MANOR PROJECT (Bravo, New!) - Dorinda Medley's Berkshires estate Blue Stone Manor, featured in "The Real Housewives of New York City" and "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip," is being eyed as the focus of a new reality series. The project, which would feature "Medley serving as boss to a young staff as they welcome guests staying on her property," is in the development stage. No auspices however were given. UNTITLED RENEE BALLARD BOSCH SPIN-OFF PROJECT (Amazon) - John Carroll Lynch has joined the cast of the spin-off series as Thomas Laffont, "a retired former police partner who comes back to help Ballard run the department. A kind, seasoned detective and crack interrogator - he's a rock for Ballard." (Deadline.com, 7/30)
UNTITLED STAR TREK LIVE-ACTION COMEDY (Paramount+, New!) - Justin Simien and "Star Trek: Lower Decks" star Tawny Newsome are set to team with Alex Kurtzman for a potential live-action "Star Trek" comedy series, "in which Federation outsiders serving a gleaming resort planet find out their day-to-day exploits are being broadcast to the entire quadrant." All three will pen the script and executive produce alongside Aaron Baiers, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth for CBS Studios, Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. (Deadline.com, 7/27)
UNTITLED TERRENCE COLI PROJECT (Netflix, New!) - Terrence Coli is developing a new drama the streamer "described as a spiritual procedural about a group of ancient humans who've been sent back to Earth with a Heavenly mission: to bring hope to those struggling in their darkest hour and healing to our fractured world."
