PAGET BREWSTER GUEST-STARS ON NBC'S "LAW & ORDER: SVU" IN TWO-HOUR PREMIERE EVENT, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 FROM 9-11 PM ET

Premiere Episode Includes Returning Guest Stars Laura Benanti, Pippa Black, Peter Jacobson, Ron Rifkin, Brooke Smith and Dean Winters

NEW YORK, NY - July 18, 2012 - NBC today announced that Paget Brewster will guest-star in a special two-hour season premiere of "Law & Order: SVU." Currently the longest-running drama series on television, the show's 14th season will premiere Wednesday, September 26 from 9-11 pm ET. Brewster, who most recently starred as Emily Prentiss on "Criminal Minds," will guest star as the head of the DA's Public Integrity Unit who has the unenviable task of handling the case against Captain Cragen (Dann Florek), who is under suspicion of murder.

Brewster previously starred in the Emmy Award-winning Showtime Drama "Huff" and the Emmy nominated FOX comedy "Andy Richter Controls the Universe." Guest-starring TV roles include a memorable performance on "Friends," as well as "Two and a Half Men," "The George Lopez Show" and "Stacked." Feature film credits include "My Big Fat Independent Movie," "The Specials," "The Big Bad Swim," "The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle," "Desperate but Not Serious" and "Man of the House." Brewster currently stars on The Hub animated children's series "Dan Vs." alongside Curtis Armstrong and Dave Foley.

Several guest stars from last season's explosive finale will also reprise their roles, including Laura Benanti ("The Playboy Club"), Pippa Black ("Outsourced"), Peter Jacobson ("House M.D.," "The Starter Wife"), Ron Rifkin ("Brothers and Sisters," "Alias"), Brooke Smith ("Grey's Anatomy," "Weeds"), and Dean Winters ("30 Rock," "Rescue Me").

"Law & Order: SVU" is a Wolf Films production in association with Universal Television. Dick Wolf, Warren Leight, Julie Martin and Peter Jankowski are executive producers. The series stars Mariska Hargitay, Ice-T, Dann Florek, Richard Belzer, Danny Pino and Kelli Giddish.
