"LIVE WITH KELLY AND MICHAEL" ANNOUNCES AN ENTERTAINING LINEUP FOR THE MAY SWEEP

"LIVE" Will be Host to A-List Celebrities, Top Musicians and Exciting Theme Weeks

NEW YORK, NY - April 23, 2013 - As the first signs of spring are appearing in New York, it's heating up at nationally-syndicated morning talk show "LIVE with Kelly and Michael." During the May sweep, an exciting lineup of A-list celebrities and top musicians will visit hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. The lineup for May will also include theme weeks such as "Top Teacher Week," "New You in New York Makeover Week," "Winner Week" and "Kelly & Michael's Fitness Challenge."

All month long, Kelly and Michael will sit down with Hollywood's hottest celebrities, including actor COLIN FARRELL, Academy Award(R) winner MORGAN FREEMAN, and "Iron Man 3" stars ROBERT DOWNEY JR., DON CHEADLE and Oscar(R) winner SIR BEN KINGSLEY. Also coming up are TOBEY MAGUIRE, CAREY MULLIGAN and ISLA FISHER from the highly-anticipated film "The Great Gatsby," ZACHARY QUINTO and ZOË SALDANA from the new film "Star Trek Into Darkness," and "The Hangover Part III" star KEN JEONG. Plus, Kelly and Michael will be visited by the stars of television's most popular shows, including KERRY WASHINGTON from ABC's "Scandal," "New Girl" star ZOOEY DESCHANEL, JIM PARSONS from "The Big Bang Theory," "Nashville" star CONNIE BRITTON, late-night host JIMMY KIMMEL, "Modern Family" star JESSE TYLER FERGUSON, and ELIZABETH MOSS from AMC's "Mad Men."

Over the next few weeks, "LIVE" also will host great performances from top musicians. Singer-songwriter and new-dad-to-be MICHAEL BUBLÉ, singer EMELI SANDÉ, and pop sensation CARLY RAE JEPSEN all will take the "LIVE" stage. Classic rockers ROD STEWART and HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS will stop by as well, and the top three singers from "American Idol" will perform for the "LIVE" audience.

The week of April 29, "Top Teacher Week" returns. Back in March, "LIVE" announced the fourth annual "Top Teacher Search," a nationwide search to highlight educators for being outstanding mentors to their students in and out of the classroom, for making their schools better, and for going above and beyond to serve their communities. Five finalists have been selected, and one will be featured each day during the week of April 29. After the last teacher has been showcased, the "LIVE" viewers will cast their votes to determine the 2013 overall Top Teacher. The winner will be announced on Monday, May 6.

Just in time for Mother's Day, "LIVE" is looking for moms who need a whole new look with "New You in New York Makeover Week." During the week of May 6, Kelly and Michael will bring deserving moms to New York to be transformed.

From May 13-17, the hosts will challenge each other with different workout techniques for "Kelly & Michael's Fitness Challenge," and the week of May 20, "Winner Week" will feature the victors from a variety of the most popular competition television shows. The winner and runners-up from "American Idol" will perform, the hosts will chat with the winner of "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice," and the winning couple and runners-up from "Dancing with the Stars" will dance for the "LIVE" audience.

Emmy Award-winning talk show "LIVE with Kelly and Michael" is distributed in national syndication by Disney-ABC Domestic Television. Produced by WABC-TV in New York and executive produced by Michael Gelman, "LIVE" airs in more than 200 markets across the U.S. Visit "LIVE" on the web at LIVEKellyandMichael.com, on Facebook, or follow "LIVE" on Twitter, @KellyandMichael.
