NEW YORK, May 22, 2014 - Stand-Up Month may be over, but the fun continues with the world premiere of Sinbad's new one hour special, "Sinbad: Make Me Wanna Holla," debuting on Comedy Central on Saturday, June 14 at 9:00 p.m.

"Sinbad: Make Me Wanna Holla" is a riotous performance from the veteran comedian, recorded live in Detroit, in his home state of Michigan. In front of a live audience he shares his hilarious life observations, covering everything from Stand Your Ground to what it was like growing up in the '70s, all with his signature "hit' em in the face" style. The show opens and closes with a rousing jam session from Sinbad's alter ego Memphis Red and the Stank Nasty Band, who give the viewers a comical look at the differences between a Baptist and a nondenominational church service.

The Comedy Central App will offer fans who sign in via their cable or satellite provider the extended and uncensored special the day after air. Fans will also have access to a treasure trove of additional content from the #1 brand in comedy. The Comedy Central app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch is available for free on the App Store or at AppStore.com/cc.

"Sinbad: Make Me Wanna Holla" will be available for pre-order in SD and HD on iTunes and Amazon Instant Video on June 2. The extended and uncensored edition will be available on DVD at Walmart, Best Buy and Amazon.com, as well as in SD and HD on Xbox Video, Sony Entertainment Network and Vudu on June 17. The digital album, featuring bonus tracks, will also be available June 17 on iTunes and Amazon MP3.

Leading up to the on-air premiere, Comedy Central Stand-Up will feature preview clips from the special. Fans can follow Sinbad on Twitter at @sinbadbad.

Actor and comedian Sinbad has kept audiences laughing in the aisles for the past few decades. Ranked by Comedy Central as one of the top 100 stand-up comedians of all time, Sinbad has drawn legions of fans from his highly-rated HBO comedy specials "Afros & Bellbottoms" (1993), "Son of a Preacher Man" (1996) and "Nuthin' But the Funk" (1998), and "Brain Damaged" (1991), HBO's highest-rated special of that year. His HBO music concert series, "Sinbad's 70s Soul Music Festival," received the prestigious NAACP Image Award consecutively for two years as the Most Outstanding Variety Series/Special. Sinbad's 2010 hour-long stand-up special, "Sinbad: Where U Been," was the highest rated and most watched special on Comedy Central that year among P18-49 and total viewers.*

Sinbad is internationally known for his appearances in hit movies like "Jingle All the Way," in which he played opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger, and "Houseguest," which co-starred the late Phil Hartman. And don't forget his film debut, "Necessary Roughness," where he did none of his own stunts!

Sinbad starred in the television sitcom "A Different World," which premiered in 1986, as well as his own series, "The Sinbad Show," which ran in the mid-90s. Entertainment mogul Quincy Jones sought out Sinbad to host UPN's first late-night talk show, "Vibe." Sinbad also appeared as a recurring guest star on Showtime's "Resurrection Blvd." Most recently, he has appeared on the FX series "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and on the third season of "Celebrity Apprentice." In addition to his television, film and comedy work, Sinbad has also written a self-help book entitled Sinbad's Guide to Life: (Because I Know Everything).

"Sinbad: Make Me Wanna Holla" is executive produced by Sinbad and New Wave Entertainment. Maria Rivera Savoy is Co-Executive Producer.
