BEVERLY BOND INKS MULTI-PLATFORM DEVELOPMENT DEAL WITH BET ACROSS ALL OF ITS BUSINESS EXTENSIONS

New York, NY - March 8, 2021 - Founder and CEO of the award-winning empowerment brand BLACK GIRLS ROCK!(R) Beverly Bond inks a three-year development deal with BET across all of its platforms. Bond has been a long-time partner to BET, most notably, as the creator and executive producer of the BLACK GIRLS ROCK!(R) Awards, the ultimate destination for Black girl brilliance. In 2006, Bond created the annual BLACK GIRLS ROCK!(R) Awards to honor the nexus of achievements of exemplary Black women who break boundaries, blaze trails, and set trends across sectors. She partnered with BET in 2010 to bring the already successful BLACK GIRLS ROCK!(R) Awards to an international stage. Each year, the preeminent annual celebration has garnered millions of viewers worldwide.

Beverly Bond is an author, DJ, artist, cultural curator, television producer, philanthropist, and thought leader who has blazed trails in music, entertainment and social entrepreneurship. In 2006, Bond founded BLACK GIRLS ROCK!(R) to showcase empowering images of women of color. She partnered with BET in 2010 to bring the BLACK GIRLS ROCK!(R) Awards to television which garnered over 2.7 million on its television debut. In 2018, Bond released her first book, BLACK GIRLS ROCK!(R):Owning Our Magic, Rocking OurTruth, published by Simon & Schuster. She interviewed and featured over 40 powerhouse women, including Michelle Obama, Susan Taylor, Rihanna, Solange, Angela Davis, Mary J. Blige, Yara Shahidi and many more. Bond's passion and commitment to music, art and culture have solidified her as one of the world's premier celebrity DJs.
