BARBARIANS (Netflix) - Production is underway on a six-episode second season of the historical drama with Jeanne Goursaud, Laurence Rupp and David Schütter reprising their lead roles. New additions include Daniel Donskoy, Murathan Muslu, Cynthia Micas, Katharina Heyer, Giovanni Carta and Alessandro Fella. (Deadline.com)
DEAD BOY DETECTIVES (HBO Max, New!) - The streamer has ordered a pilot for a small screen take on the DC Comics characters, Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine, "who decided not to enter the afterlife in order to stay on earth and investigate crimes involving the supernatural." Steve Yockey is penning the project with Jeremy Carver, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden also among the executive producers for the Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions. Sebastian Croft and Ty Tennant are set to play Rowland and Paine, respectively, in the upcoming third season of "Doom Patrol," though "they are not believed to be attached to the pilot at this time." Filming is expected to begin in November. (Variety.com)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Co-stars Jamie Gray Hyder and Demore Barnes are departing the series following the upcoming two-hour season premiere on Thursday, September 23. No reason for their respective exits were given. (Deadline.com)
SUPER PUMPED (Showtime) - Bridget Gao-Hollitt is the latest addition to the Joseph Gordon-Levitt-led anthology series as Gabi, "a passionate violinist who captivates Travis as his profile begins to soar." (Variety.com)
