CROWN, THE (Netflix) - Khalid Abdalla has been cast as Dodi Fayed in the fifth season of the series, who will play opposite Elizabeth Debicki's Diana, Princess of Wales. Salim Daw has also been cast as Dodi's father, "billionaire and former Harrods owner Mohamed Al-Fayed." (Variety.com)
DERRY GIRLS (Netflix) - Creator Lisa McGee took to social media with the news the upcoming third season of the British series will be its last. (@LisaMMcGee)
ENDGAME, THE (NBC) - Co-creator Jake Coburn has signed a first-look deal with Universal Television, home to his recently ordered NBC series. (Deadline.com)
GIRL FROM PLAINVILLE, THE (Hulu) - The upcoming series has tapped the following to recur: Chinasa Ogbuagu as Teresa Adams, "a fearless prosecutor in the District Attorney's office"; Kelly AuCoin as Scott Gordon, "the Fairhaven detective who is dogged in his investigation of Michelle Carter"; Scott William Winters as Eric Dawicki, "close friends with Co and the Roy family"; Kristin Griffith as Janice Roy, "Co's mother, Coco's grandmother"; Ella Rubin as Natalie Gibson, "a friend of Michelle's from school"; Megan Lawless as Riley Anderson, "Coco's best girl-friend"; John Henry Ward as Adrian Peters, "Michelle's friend from school"; Leah Thompkins as Paige Roy, "Coco's youngest sister"; and Callie McClincy as Hayden Carter, "Michelle's younger sister." MAYANS MC (FX) - Frankie Loyal, Joseph Lucero, and Vincent Vargas - who recur as Hank Loza, Neron "Creeper" Vargas, and Gilly Lopez, respectively - have been named regulars for the upcoming fourth season. (Deadline.com)
MONARCH (FOX) - Martha Higareda and Emma Milani are the latest additions to the musical drama. Higareda will play Catt Phoenix, "the stunning and unpredictable mother of 17- year-old Ana Phoenix, a talented young singer and who is trying to get signed to the Roman Family's record label. Catt harbors a deep-seated grudge against the Romans, Nicky in particular, and her presence creates quite a stir in Austin." And Milani joins the cast as Ana Phoenix, "the sweet, wide-eyed daughter of Catt with a beautiful voice, who is a recent TikTok sensation with her modern, Spanish language interpretation of Albie Roman's first hit song." SHELTER (Amazon) - Jaden Michael has scored the lead role on the YA pilot: "It tells the story of high school junior Mickey Bolitar (Michael) as he navigates his new life with a mom in rehab, a dead father, an annoying aunt, and a new school in New Jersey with a camel as its mascot. And a creepy old lady who may or may not be a ghost just told him on his way to school that his father isn't dead.
