ABC FAMILY DELIVERS ITS BEST WEEK IN PRIMETIME IN THREE YEARS, RANKING AS A TOP 5 BASIC CABLE NETWORK FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 29TH
BURBANK, CA (Tuesday, Dec. 7) � �25 Days of Christmas� is bringing holiday cheer to ABC Family. ABC Family placed among the Top 5 basic cable networks in primetime for the week, ranking #5 in Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. ABC Family also earned its highest mark in primetime in three years in Adults 18-49 rating (0.9 rating) for the week of November 29th. In Adults 18-34 (0.8 rating), ABC Family�s had its strongest week since March 1994.
Over the first five nights of the programming event, ABC Family ranks as the top basic cable network in total viewers (3.0 million), adults 18-49 (1.3), and key women demos. Saturday night duplicated Thursday�s No. 1 success as ABC Family was again basic cable�s No. 1 network (7:00-10:00 PM) in Adults 18-34 (1.2 rating) and Adults 18-49 (1.5 rating). ABC Family�s airing of SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN was the night�s top rated basic cable telecast in Adults 18-49 (1.7 rating).
The highlight of �25 Days� so far has been the basic cable premiere of DR. SEUSS� HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS (5:30�8:00 PM), starring Jim Carrey as the well-loved green monster who tries to steal Christmas from Whoville. The movie returned great results, finishing as ABC Family�s highest rated non-sports telecast in three years with Adults 18-49 (2.1).
