HALLMARK CHANNEL SCORES HIGHEST-RATED MONTH EVER IN JULY 2005

Original Movie Premieres Boost Network to Record Ratings Success

Hallmark Channel announced today that the network, dedicated to enriching people�s lives by telling great stories through its line up of original programming, delivered its best month EVER in July 2005. The network attributes the ratings boost to its original movie premieres in July, �The Colt� and �Back to You & Me.� �The Colt� (July 9, 9-11 pm) posted a 1.6 HH rating and 1,125,000 households; �Back to You & Me� (July 23, 9-11 pm) delivered a 1.8 HH rating and 1,229,000 HHs. In addition, July 2005 marks Hallmark Channel�s ninth straight month as a Top 10 network in Total Day and, for the first time ever, the network breaks into the Top 10 in Prime Time.

Hallmark Channel�s July 2005 ratings highlights include (year over year, July �05 vs. July �04):

� +10% increase in Prime Time HH rating (1.1 vs. 1.0) � this marks the network�s second highest monthly HH rating EVER.

� +32% increase in homes in Prime Time (786,000) � this marks the network�s second highest HH delivery EVER.

� +42% increase in homes in Total Day (506,000)

� +17% increase in Total Day HH rating (0.7 vs. 0.6)

Hallmark Channel is a 24-hour basic cable channel that provides a diverse slate of highquality entertainment programming to a national audience of 69 million subscribers.
