Spike TV's Ultimate Fight Night Live and The Ultimate Fighter 2 Scored Nearly Two Million Viewers
Network Delivered More Men 18-34 Than YAGO (9:00 - 11:00 PM, ET/PT)
NEW YORK, Oct. 4 -- Last night, Monday, October 3, Spike TV
garnered nearly two million viewers for its Ultimate Fight Night Live special
and the weekly series The Ultimate Fighter 2.
"This is a sport on a rising curve," says Kevin Kay, General Manager Spike
TV. "We set out to provide an action-packed night of programming and our
strategy worked in reaching male viewers."
Ultimate Fight Night Live, which telecast from 9:05-11:00 PM, ET/PT, drew
a 1.6 HH/1.4 million homes. In the network's key demos, with Men 18-49, the
two-hour special scored a 2.1/1.1 million viewers; and with M 18-34, it earned
a 2.6/670,000 viewers. Total viewers (P2+) reached 1.9 million.
During this time period the network delivered close to 15% more Men 18-34
than a year ago.
Immediately following the special was the weekly premiere episode of The
Ultimate Fighter 2 from 11:00 PM - 12:01 AM, ET/PT, which had 1.3 HH/1.2
million households. With Men 18-49, the series scored 2.1/1.1 million
viewers; and with Men 18-34 it garnered a 2.8/718,000 viewers, the series'
highest M 18-34 rating to dates. The series attracted 1.9 million viewers P2+
as well.
