In Another Viewer Victory, CBS Spreads the Wealth as 9 Programs Post Series Or Season High Ratings

IN ANOTHER VIEWER VICTORY, CBS SPREADS THE WEALTH AS 9 PROGRAMS POST SERIES OR SEASON HIGH RATINGS

"The King of Queens," "How I Met Your Mother," "Two and a Half Men," "Out of Practice," "CSI: Miami," "NCIS," "Criminal Minds," "Survivor: Guatemala" and "60 Minutes" All Post Season or Series High Ratings

"60 Minutes" Delivers Its Highest Adult 25-54 Ratings In More Than a Year and Highest in Adults 18-49 In Nearly a Year

CBS placed first in viewers for the 11 consecutive week -- the first time a network has opened a season with that many straight weekly wins since 1988, according to Nielsen ratings for the week ending Dec. 4, week 11 of the 2005-2006 season.

In the week, which included the final three days of the November sweep, CBS delivered series or season high ratings with THE KING OF QUEENS, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, TWO AND A HALF MEN, OUT OF PRACTICE, CSI: MIAMI, NCIS, CRIMINAL MINDS, SURVIVOR: GUATEMALA and 60 MINUTES.

Additionally, perennial holiday favorite RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER posted its best ratings in five years and was the week's top program among children 2-11 and children 6-11.

For the week in viewers, CBS (12.91m) beat ABC (12.35m), NBC (10.25m) and FOX (6.96m). Season-to-date, CBS (13.42m) is followed by ABC (11.11m), NBC (9.43m) and FOX (8.46m).

For the week in households, CBS (8.3/13) had a +6% advantage over ABC (7.8/12), +24% over NBC (6.7/10) and +89% over FOX (4.4/07). Season-to-date, CBS is first in households (8.7/14), outpacing ABC by +23% (7.1/11), NBC by +38% (6.3/10) and FOX by +61% (5.4/09).

For the week in demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (5.0/12) and adults 18-49 (4.1/11). Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (5.2/12) while ABC is just barely ahead of CBS in adults 18-49 (4.2/11 vs. 4.1/11 or 5.40m vs. 5.33m).

� THE KING OF QUEENS was first in households (8.2/12), viewers (12.92m) and adults 25-54 (5.2/12) for the 10th consecutive week and first in adults 18-49 (4.4/11) for the 9th time in 10 weeks. THE KING OF QUEENS posted season high deliveries in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

� HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was first in households (7.9/11) and viewers (12.27m) for the sixth consecutive week. HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was also first in adults 25-54 (5.2/11) and adults 18-49 (4.4/11) for the fifth time in six weeks. HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER posted series high deliveries in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

� TWO AND A HALF MEN was second behind ABC's football in households (10.6/15), viewers (16.53m), adults 25-54 (6.7/14) and adults 18-49 (5.7/12). This is TWO AND A HALF MEN's season high delivery in adults 18-49.

� OUT OF PRACTICE was second in households (8.6/13) and viewers (12.99m). This is OUT OF PRACTICE's best delivery in adults 18-49 (4.5/10) to date.

� CSI: MIAMI was second behind ABC's football in households (12.9/20), viewers (19.77m), adults 25-54 (8.0/17) and adults 18-49 (7.0/16). CSI: MIAMI posted its best adults 18-49 performance of the season.

� NCIS was first in households (11.3/16) and viewers (18.17m) for the 10th consecutive time this season. NCIS was second in adults 25-54 (5.8/14), adults 18-49 (4.4/11) and adults 18-34 (3.1/09). This is NCIS's best delivery ever in viewers and adults 18-34, and matches the best adults 18-49 performance.

� RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER (S) (R) won the 8PM time slot in households (8.6/13), viewers (15.80m), adults 25-54 (6.4/16), adults 18-49 (5.8/15) and adults 18-34 (4.4/13). This is RUDOLPH's best households delivery since 1999 and best viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 performance since 2000. RUDOLPH was the week's Number One program among children 2-11 (9.1/29) and children 6-11 (7.9/25).

� CRIMINAL MINDS was second in households (9.9/15), viewers (15.56m), adults 25-54 (6.2/13), adults 18-49 (4.8/11) and adults 18-34 (3.8/10). CRIMINAL MINDS matched its most competitive position against a first-run episode of "Lost" in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 while posting its best ever delivery in adults 18-34 and matching its best adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 performance.

� SURVIVOR: GUATEMALA -- THE MAYA EMPIRE won its time period in households (11.4/18), viewers (19.82m), adults 25-54 (8.9/22), adults 18-49 (7.1/19) and adults 18-34 (4.7/14). This is the best households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 delivery of SURVIVOR: GUATEMALA.

� 60 MINUTES (7:26-8:26 PM) scored an 11.6/18 with 17.53m viewers, 6.4/15 in adults 25-54 and 4.9/13 in adults 18-49. In the 7:30PM time slot, 60 MINUTES finished first in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. This is 60 MINUTES best delivery in adults 18-49 since 12/19/04 and best adults 25-54 performance since 10/31/04.
