During the week containing the 4th of July holiday (w/o 7/3/06), traditionally the week with the lowest overall television usage levels throughout the year, ABC was up by 12% in Total Viewers (4.8 million vs. 4.3 million) and by 7% in Adults 18-49 (1.6/5 vs. 1.5/5) from the prior week. In fact, ABC was the only broadcaster to grow its Adult 18-49 audience week to week (CBS, NBC and Fox were each down, while UPN and WB were both flat).

Rankings: ABC aired 4 of the Top 15 TV programs for the week in Adults 18-49, placing 2 in the Top 10: �Grey�s Anatomy SP 7/6� � No. 5, �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 10, �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� � No. 14 and �Grey�s Anatomy THU 9PM� � No. 15. ABC News� �20/20� ranked as the No. 1 newsmagazine during the week among Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 (tie).

Monday

�Wife Swap� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

A repeat of ABC�s �Wife Swap� placed second in the hour in Total Viewers (4.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.6/6 - tied), while ranking No. 1 among Adults 25-54 (1.9/7) and Women 18-49 (2.1/8).

�Supernanny� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

Growing from its lead-in in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, a rebroadcast �Supernanny� ranked No. 1 in its time period across each of the adult demographics: Adults 18-34 (1.7/7 - tied), Adults 18-49 (2.0/7) and Adults 25-54 (2.3/7).

� �Supernanny� was the top show among the broadcast networks on Monday evening among Adults 18-34 (1.7/7) and Kids 2-11 (1.2/5), while ranking as the No. 2 program of the evening among Adults 18-49 (2.0/7).

Thursday

�Master of Champions� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

�Master of Champions� posted week-to-week gains across all key women demographics: Women 18-34 (1.4/5 vs. 1.3/5), Women 18-49 (1.7/5 vs. 1.6/6) and Women 25-54 (2.1/6 vs. 1.9/6).

�Grey�s Anatomy� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

A rebroadcast �Grey�s Anatomy� drew 7.2 million viewers and a 2.3 rating, 7 share among Adults 18-49, finishing second in the hour in viewers. The time period premiere of �Grey�s Anatomy� improved the Net�s averages in the hour this summer with non-sports programming by 1.5 million viewers and by 28% in young adults (5.7 million & 1.8/5).

�Grey�s Anatomy� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

A special repeat of ABC�s �Grey�s Anatomy� drew 7.7 million viewers and a 2.9 rating, 9 share among Adults 18-49, representing the show�s best summer performance ever in both Nielsen measures. The sophomore drama led its time period among Adults 18-34 (2.4/8) and across each of the key women demographics: Women 18-34 (3.4/11), Women 18-49 (4.1/11) and Women 25-54 (4.5/12).

� �Grey�s Anatomy� posted ABC�s highest ratings in the hour during the summer frame with Women 18-34 and Women 18-49 in over 2 years - since 5/27/04, non-sports programming.

Friday

For the second week in a row, ABC won Friday night among Adults 18-49 (1.7/6). It was the third time in 4 weeks that ABC has been the top network on the night in the key young adult sales demo.

�America�s Funniest Home Videos� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

A repeat telecast of �America�s Funniest Home Videos� took second place in its time period among Adults 18-49 (1.7/7).

�Kyle XY� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

With the broadcast replay of the �Kyle XY,� the hit ABC Family original series, ABC ranked No. 1 in the Friday 9 o�clock hour among Adults 18-49 for the second week in a row. In Adults 18-49 ABC�s replay of �Kyle XY� (1.5/6) beat its drama competition in the time period, including replays of CBS� �The Unit� (1.4/5), NBC�s �Las Vegas� (1.1/4) and Fox�s �24� (0.7/2). The second episode of �Kyle XY,� which aired on ABC Family just four nights earlier, also stood as the No. 1 TV program in its time period among Adults 25-54 (1.8/6) and Women 18-49 (1.8/6).

� �Kyle XY� retained an impressive 94% of its week-earlier premiere delivery (6/30/06) on ABC in Total Viewers (4.9 million vs. 5.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.5/5 vs. 1.6/6). �Kyle XY� was up from its week-ago debut on ABC in each of the men demographics (M18-34 +13%, M18-49 +9% & M25-54 +7%), among Teens 12-17 (+17%) and Kids 2-11 (+17%).

� On average during its first two airing in the hour, �Kyle XY� has boosted the time period for ABC by 19% in Total Viewers (5.0 million vs. 4.2 million), by 7% in Adults 18-49 (1.6/6 vs. 1.5/6) and by 20% in Adults 18-34 (1.2/5 vs. 1.0/4) over the same nights last summer.

�20/20� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

Building on its solid lead-in, ABC News� �20/20� won the 10 o�clock hour across the board: Total Viewers (6.4 million), Adults 25-54 (2.6/8), Adults 18-49 (2.0/7) and Adults 18-34 (1.4/5). �20/20� stood as the No. 1 TV program on Friday among Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49.

Sunday

With its all repeat lineup, ABC nearly tied for first place on Sunday among Adults 18-49, just one-tenth of a rating point behind NBC (2.1/6 vs. 2.2/7). Both CBS and NBC aired a mix of original and repeat programming on the night.

�America�s Funniest Home Videos� (7:00-8:00 p.m.)

During the opening hour of primetime, a rebroadcast �America�s Funniest Home Videos� delivered first place in its time period across the key adult demographics: AD18-34 (1.3/5), AD 18-49 (1.7/6) and AD25-54 (2.1/7-tie).

�Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

A repeat �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� finished in a virtual tie with NBC�s original �Dateline� for the No. 1 position in its hour among Adults 18-49 (2.4/7 vs. 2.5/8), posting its highest rating of the summer.

�Desperate Housewives� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

An encore airing of ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� earned second place during the 9 o�clock hour among Women 18-49 (2.3/6) and Women 25-54 (2.6/6).

�Grey�s Anatomy� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

A repeat of ABC�s �Grey�s Anatomy� took the top spot in the final hour of primetime across each of the key adult demographics: AD18-34 (2.0/6), AD 18-49 (2.6/7) and AD25-54 (2.8/7). The sophomore drama marked its second-strongest number in the time period this summer in the adult demographics.
