Although the Network faced a high-rated NFL overrun on CBS at the beginning of the night feeding viewers into its primetime lineup, ABC stood as the No. 1 network on Sunday across each of the key adult demographics: Adults 18-34 (4.2/12), Adults 18-49 (5.4/13) and Adults 25-54 (6.1/14).

� ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� ranked as Sunday�s No. 1 TV program for the fourth consecutive week among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. Also for the fourth week in a row, ABC claimed the Top 3 entertainment series on Sunday evening in the key Adult 18-49 sales demographic, with �Desperate Housewives,� �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� and �Brothers & Sisters.�

�America�s Funniest Home Videos� (7:00-8:00 p.m.)

Starting out against CBS� high-rated NFL overrun during the 7 o�clock hour, ABC�s �America�s Funniest Home Videos� exhibited real spunk. The venerable ABC video drew an average audience of 9.6 million viewers and tallied a 3.1 rating, 9 share among Adults 18-49. Against stiff competition, �AFHV� delivered substantial tune-in for ABC throughout the opening hour on Sunday, gaining 2.6 million viewers (8.3 million to 10.9 million) and 38% in Adults 18-49 (2.6/8 to 3.6/10) from start to finish.

� In Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, �America�s Funniest Home Videos� produced its strongest numbers in nearly 8 months � since 2/26/06.

�Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

From 8:00-9:00 p.m., ABC�s �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� won its time period by 1.4 million viewers (14.3 million vs. 12.9 million) and by 38% in Adults 18-49 (5.5/13 vs. 4.0/10) over second-place CBS.

� Broad appealing �Home Edition� was up from the prior week among Adults 18-49 (5.5/14 vs. 5.4/14) and Kids 2-11 (3.5/12 vs. 3.4/12).

�Desperate Housewives� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

TV�s No. 1 program on Sunday for the fourth consecutive week, ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� overshadowed competition during in the 9 o�clock hour, including NBC�s �Sunday Night Football� and CBS� �Cold Case.� In fact ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� bested its nearest competition in the time period by 7.2 million viewers (20.0 million vs. 12.8 million � CBS) and by 82% in Adults 18-49 (8.0/18 vs. 4.4/10 � NBC�s preliminary �fast affiliate� time period ratings).

�Brothers & Sisters� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC�s freshman �Brothers & Sisters� won the 10 o�clock hour among Adults 18-49 (4.9/12) and across key women (W18-34 - 5.3/14, W18-49 - 7.2/17 & W25-54 - 8.2/18), defeating both CBS and NBC in the hour. Among Adults 18-49 in the time period, ABC�s �Brothers & Sisters� defeated second-place CBS by 14% (4.9/12 vs. 4.3/11).
