"NBC SNF" up 16% Over Last Year's Week 15 "MNF" Game
"SNF" Beats NBC Sunday Night Performance from '05 by 108%
NEW YORK � December 18, 2006 � The San Diego Chargers 20-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on "NBC Sunday Night Football" earned a 10.4 overnight rating and 16 share, up 16% over the Week 15 Monday Night Football game on ABC last year between the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens, which drew a 9.0/15.
The 10.4/16 is 108% higher than NBC's overnight average on this same night last year (5.0/8 from 8:30-11pm).
The Chargers-Chiefs game was handpicked by the NFL for NBC as part of the league's new flexible scheduling policy to ensure matchups with playoff implications; San Diego is fighting for the top seed in the AFC and K.C. is battling for a wild card berth. Heading into last year's Week 15 Monday night game, the Packers had a 3-10 record and the Ravens a 4-9 mark.
Final national ratings will be available tomorrow.

'NBC SNF' No. 2 Show for Week in Adults 18-49, No. 1 in Men 18-49
NEW YORK � Dec. 19, 2006 � "NBC Sunday Night Football" is averaging one million more viewers per game than the Monday night games on ABC last year. NBC's "SNF" is averaging 17.4 Million viewers, a seven percent increase over the 16.4 million viewers through Week 15 on ABC's "MNF" last year. NBC's "SNF" is averaging an 11.2 rating and 18 share, compared to the 10.9/18 for ABC's "MNF" through Week 15 last year, according to national ratings released today by Nielsen Media Research.
"SNF" UP 28%
The San Diego Chargers 20-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on "NBC Sunday Night Football" this Sunday night scored 15.3 million viewers, 3.3 million more viewers and a 28 percent increase over the equivalent Week 15 Green Bay-Baltimore Monday night game last year on ABC. The "SNF" Chiefs-Chargers game earned a 9.9 national rating and 16 share, a 21 percent increase over the 8.2/14 for the "MNF" game last year.
"SNF" NO. 2 SHOW FOR WEEK
The "NBC Sunday Night Football" Chiefs-Chargers broadcast was the No. 2 program of the week in adults 18-49 and the No. 1 telecast of the week among men 18-49 and men 25-54 (out of a total 96 programs this week).
NBC RANKS NO. 2 FOR WEEK, UP 138%
Paced by "SNF," NBC ranked No. 2 for the week in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49, as well as in overall total viewers, averaging a 3.2/9 in 18-49 and 9.1 million viewers overall for the week of December 11-17. Versus the comparable night on NBC in 2005, NBC's Sunday nightlong average this week was up 138 percent in 18-49 (5.0/13 vs. 2.1/5) and up 94 percent in total viewers (13.129 million vs. 6.767 million).
