USA Takes 1Q Ratings Crown

BEST MARGIN OF VICTORY EVER IN KEY DEMO

NEW YORK, April 3 -- USA was the #1 basic cable network in 1Q07 among households, total viewers, and all key demos. With a record- breaking margin of victory, USA delivered 1.2 million in P25-54 (27% ahead of #2 TNT), 1.2 million in P18-49 (20% ahead of #2 TBS), 547,000 in P18-34 (4% over #2 TBS), 2.7 million total viewers (11% ahead of #2 Disney) and 2 million households (8% over #2 Disney). USA was also #1 in household coverage rating with a 2.2.

Not only was USA #1 for the quarter among P25-54 but the 27% lead is the largest 1Q basic cable margin of victory in the demo on record**. Among P18- 49 USA's lead is the largest 1Q basic cable margin of victory in the demo since 1Q01. 1Q07 was the most watched first quarter for USA Network since 1Q00 among P18-49 and P18-34 and was the most watched 1Q ever and the third most watched quarter overall among households for the network. Among total viewers 1Q07 was the most watched first quarter since 1Q99 for USA and the third most watched quarter overall.

USA was #1 among P25-54 four out of the seven nights of the week in 1Q07. USA was #1 on Monday with WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW, on Wednesday with a mix of LAW & ORDER: SVU and LAW & ORDER: CI, on Thursday with the LAW & ORDER franchises, NASHVILLE STAR and aided by a rare Thursday episode of WWE RAW. On Friday USA was #1 with new episodes of original series MONK and PSYCH.

-- WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW continued to prove a success for USA Network, giving USA the title of #1 cable network in prime on Mondays for 1Q07 in households, total viewers, and all key demos delivering 2.5 million in P25-54, 2.8 million in P18-49, 1.6 million in P18-34, 5.5 million total viewers and 3.7 million households. 1Q07 was the best quarter for Monday night WWE RAW 9-11P, delivering more P25-54 and P18-49, since 3Q02.

-- P25-54 watched original series NASHVILLE STAR (1.2 million) and LAW & ORDER: CI (1.2 million) more than any other regularly scheduled series on cable Thursdays in primetime in 1Q07.

-- In addition to winning Friday nights with original episodes of MONK and PSYCH in P25-54 (2.4 million and 2 million respectively) both were also tops in P18-49, 2 million for MONK and 1.9 million for PSYCH. The two were the most-watched scripted series in basic cable prime for the quarter.
