SMACKDOWN Posts Year-to-Year Gains in Viewers and 18-49
September 24, 2007 (Burbank, CA) - The season opener of FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN lifted The CW to first place for the night in the show's target demos of adults 18-34 (1.3/5), men 18-34 (1.6/6), men 18-49 (1.8/6), teens (2.5/11) and male teens (2.9/14), according to Live Plus Same Day National Nielsen ratings for Friday, Sept 22.
The CW also beat NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 (1.4/5) and viewers (4.6mil).
Last night's SMACKDOWN premiere marked the show's best season debut since Sept. 2004 in viewers (4.6mil), teens and male teens.
SMACKDOWN scored year-to-year gains in teens (19%), male teens (12%), adults 18-49 (8%), men 18-49 (6%) and total viewers (21%).
