'GHOST HUNTERS INTERNATIONAL' DEBUTS AS THE #1 REALITY SERIES TELECAST IN SCI FI CHANNEL HISTORY!

SCI FI is #1 Cable Network in For the Night

New York, NY January 10, 2008 Cementing the immensely popular Ghost Hunters as the #1 paranormal franchise in cable, SCI FI's spin-off series Ghost Hunters International debuted to record-breaking ratings on Wednesday night. The series premiere delivered a 2.0 Household rating, 1.765 million Adults 18-49, 1.733 million Adults 25-54 and 2.8 million total viewers, making it the most-watched telecast of any alternative reality series in the history of the Channel.* In addition:

--SCI FI was the #1 cable network in primetime (8pm-11pm) on Wednesday for both Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

--Ghost Hunters International bested broadcast competition head-to head, including a new episode of Gossip Girl on the CW (in both Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54) as well as Fox in Males 18-49

--The debut of Ghost Hunters International makes the Ghost Hunters franchise the ultimate paranormal destination in cable, besting the top-performing 2007 episodes of Paranormal State and Criss Angel Mindfreak

Last night's episode of Ghost Hunters International featured investigations at the infamous Chillingham Castle in England and through the vaults and tunnels of Mary King's Close in Scotland. Next week, the team descends into the macabre depths of the Abbey at Lucedio, near Turin, Italy, to unlock the secrets behind the legends that make up the Abbey's lurid 1400-year history. Then, a trip to Wales takes them to the legendary Nanteos Mansion, which lore dictates to be the one-time resting place of the Holy Grail.

Like their U.S. counterpart, TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), Ghost Hunters International is a squad of real-life "ghost-busters" - ordinary people who investigate and attempt to debunk claims of otherworldly activity. The new team will travel to different European cities each week in pursuit of the truth behind bizarre supernatural claims. Comprised of veteran TAPS investigators Robb Demarest, Andy Andrews, Brian Harnois, and Donna La Croix, along with Barry Fitzgerald (memorable from the Ghost Hunters' legendary investigations in Ireland) and newcomer Shannon Sylvia, the Ghost Hunters International crew is primed to uncover some of the most startling paranormal evidence yet! Ghost Hunters International airs Wednesdays at 9 PM on SCI FI, and Ghost Hunters will return with Season 4 in March 2008.

Ghost Hunters International is produced in association with Craig Piligian's Pilgrim Films and Television (American Chopper, Dirty Jobs, The Ultimate Fighter). Piligian and Thomas Thayer, along with Rob Katz and Alan David, serve as executive producers.

SCI FI Channel is a television network where "what if" is what's on. SCI FI fuels the imagination of viewers with original series and events, blockbuster movies and classic science fiction and fantasy programming, as well as a dynamic Web site (www.scifi.com ) and magazine. Launched in 1992, and currently in 93 million homes, SCI FI Channel is a network of NBC Universal, one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies.
