After debuting in January as the highest-rated reality telecast in the Channel's history, the series averaged a 1.6 Household rating and over 2 million total viewers over its seven-episode run. In the Wednesday 9 PM hour over the series' seven-week run, SCI FI was the #1 entertainment cable network for Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54, Females 18-49 and Females 25-54.
Compared to the time period average in the same weeks in 2007, Ghost Hunters International boosted the Channel's performance by triple-digits in all key demographics, including gains of +222% in Adults 25-54 and +300% in Adults 18-49.
Ghost Hunters International brought in significant year-over-year gains among younger and female viewers, with Adults 18-34 up by +329% and Females 18-49 up by +389%.
A spin-off of SCI FI's popular Ghost Hunters series, Ghost Hunters International features a squad of real-life "ghost-busters" - ordinary people who investigate and attempt to debunk claims of otherworldly activity. The team travels to different European cities each week in pursuit of the truth behind bizarre supernatural claims.
Season 4 of the original Ghost Hunters, featuring lead investigators Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, will premiere March 5 @ 9 PM with a case at the allegedly haunted Fort Mifflin in Philadelphia. Then, at 10 PM, Destination Truth, featuring world-adventurer Josh Gates, premieres its second season with a trip into the mountains of Nepal, where Josh and crew uncovers what could be compelling evidence of the infamous Yeti.
Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International is produced in association with Craig Piligian's Pilgrim Films and Television (American Chopper, Dirty Jobs, The Ultimate Fighter). Piligian and Thomas Thayer, along with Rob Katz and Alan David, serve as executive producers.
