"60 MINUTES" MAKES THE TOP 10 AGAIN -- FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK AND 17TH TIME OVER 25 TELECASTS
60 MINUTES is in the top 10 again. It's the second straight week that America's most-watched news program made Nielsen's weekly list and the 17th time over 25 telecasts this season. Sunday's (29) 60 MINUTES landed at #8 in both viewers (14.44m) and households (9.0/15).
Compared to the same night last year, 60 MINUTES was up +8% in both viewers and adults 25-54, +6% in adults 18-49 and +3% in households.
Sunday's broadcast featured a Lesley Stahl segment about the Internet virus Conficker, Bob Simon's story about African lions being poisoned and Steve Kroft's profile of pro basketball sensation LeBron James.
60 MINUTES is averaging 15 million weekly viewers season to date, up +11% over the same period last year. It currently ranks #13 for the season.
