CBS WINS IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54 FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE WEEK

"NCIS" Reigns as the No. 1 Program

CBS Notches the Top Four Dramas/Scripted Programs - "NCIS," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "CSI" and "The Mentalist"

"The Good Wife" Improves Upon Its Adults 18-49 Premiere Week Ratings and is the No. 2 New Series of the Season in Viewers

"The Big Bang Theory" Hits Series Highs in Viewers and Key Demos and Is the Weeks No. 1 Comedy in Adults 18-49

CBS placed first in viewers and adults 25-54 for the second consecutive week and finished a strong second (tie) in adults 18-49 led by NCIS, the week's Number One program for the second straight week, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 4, week two of the 2009-2010 television season.

CBS had the week's top four scripted programs/dramas. Following NCIS, which delivered a series high audience of 21.37 million viewers, were freshman NCIS: LOS ANGELES, CSI and THE MENTALIST.

THE GOOD WIFE, the season's Number Two new series in viewers (behind NCIS: LOS ANGELES) built upon its premiere week adults 18-49 rating and THE BIG BANG THEORY was the week's top comedy in adults 18-49, posting series high ratings in viewers and key demographics.

For the week in viewers: CBS (11.32m), ABC (9.64m), NBC (7.79m) and FOX (7.62m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.55m), ahead of ABC (10.34m), NBC (7.68m) and FOX (7.48m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (3.8/10) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (2.9/08, with ABC and -0.2 behind FOX).

For the week in households: CBS (7.2/12), ABC (6.2/10), NBC (4.9/08) and FOX (4.5/07). In households, season-to-date, CBS is first (7.2/12), ahead of ABC (6.6/11), NBC (4.9/08) and FOX (4.4/07).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in adults 25-54 (6.0/13), adults 18-49 (4.8/12), adults 18-34 (3.0/08), second behind ABC in both households (8.3/12) and viewers (13.86m) at 9:00 PM. Compared to last week's season premiere, TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +5% in adults 25-54 (from 5.7/12), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 4.5/10), +15% in adults 18-34 (from 2.6/07) and added +230,000 viewers (from 13.63m, +2%).

? THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in adults 25-54 (6.2/14), adults 18-49 (5.3/13), adults 18-34 (3.7/10) and second in both households (8.0/12) and viewers (13.27m). This was THE BIG BANG THEORY's best delivery in viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. This is the second straight broadcast THE BIG BANG THEORY posted series highs in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. THE BIG BANG THEORY built on its TWO AND A HALF MEN lead-in by +3% in adults 25-54, +10% in adults 18-49 and +23% in adults 18-34.

? CSI: MIAMI was first in households (9.1/15), viewers (13.96m), adults 25-54 (5.2/13), adults 18-49 (4.1/11) and adults 18-34 (2.8/08). CSI: MIAMI beat the competition combined in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.9/12, +6%), adults 18-49 (vs. 3.9/10, +5%) and adults 18-34 (vs. 2.7/08, +4%).

-- Tuesday, CBS was first in households (10.9/18), viewers (17.49m), adults 25-54 (5.4/14) and adults 18-49 (4.0/11). CBS won every half-hour in viewers and adults 25-54, five of six half-hours in adults 18-49.

? NCIS won its time slot in households (12.9/21), viewers (21.37m), adults 25-54 (6.4/17) and adults 18-49 (4.8/14). This was a series high for NCIS in viewers for the second consecutive week and matched last week's all-time best adults 18-49 delivery.

? NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in households (10.6/16), viewers (17.40m), adults 25-54 (5.6/13) and adults 18-49 (4.1/11). Compared to last week's series premiere, NCIS: LOS ANGELES retained 93% of both its viewer and adults 18-49 deliveries, 92% of adults 25-54.

? THE GOOD WIFE was first in households (9.1/16), viewers (13.69m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (3.2/09). Compared to last week's series premiere, THE GOOD WIFE was up +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/09).

-- Wednesday, CBS was first in households (7.2/12), viewers (11.35m), adults 25-54 (3.9/10) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (3.0/09, with FOX). CBS was first in these measures for both the second consecutive night and for the second consecutive Wednesday.

? CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (8.9/14), viewers (14.20m), adults 25-54 (4.8/12) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (3.8/10, with ABC). CRIMINAL MINDS was the night's #1 program in viewers, adults 18-49 (tied) and adults 25-54.

? CSI: NY was first in households (8.6/16), viewers (13.16m), adults 25-54 (4.3/11) and adults 18-49 (3.3/09).

-- Thursday, CBS was first in households (8.9/15), viewers (14.17m), second in adults 25-54 (4.9/12) and adults 18-49 (3.8/11).

? THE MENTALIST was first in households (10.1/17) and viewers (15.75m) and second in adults 25-54 (4.9/13) and adults 18-49 (3.8/11). Compared to last week, THE MENTALIST was up +6% in both households (from 9.5/16) and adults 18-49 (from 3.6/10), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.8/12) and added +680,000 viewers (from 15.07m, +5%).

? GHOST WHISPERER was first in households (4.8/09), viewers (7.62m), adults 25-54 (2.5/08) and adults 18-49 (1.7/07) for the second consecutive week.

? MEDIUM was first in viewers (7.84m), adults 25-54 (2.6/08) and adults 18-49 (1.9/06) - for the second straight Friday - and second in households (5.1/09, -0.1 behind NBC).
