NEW YORK�Feb. 9, 2010�For the second straight week, brand-new episodes of Nickelodeon's iCarly and Big Time Rush (Friday, Feb. 5) grabbed basic cable's top spots with total viewers (P2+) on Friday night. iCarly's "iEnrage Gibby" topped basic cable overall with total viewers (4.8 million), kids and tweens for the night. Big Time Rush's "Big Time Love Song" lodged a second-place finish among basic cable's entertainment telecasts with total viewers (3.7 million), and was number-two overall on basic cable with kids and tweens for Friday.

iCarly's "iEnrage Gibby" (8-8:30 p.m. ET/PT) posted double- to triple-digit gains over last year with all key kid and total viewer demos on Friday, averaging a 10.3/2.2 million kids 6-11 (+115%), 8.8/1.9 million tweens 9-14 (+167%) and 7.9/2.8 million kids 2-11 (+65%), with +71% growth among persons 2+. The new episode also topped basic cable in its time period with Adults 18-49 (0.9/1.0 million).

Big Time Rush, a bonafide new hit with kids and tweens, also posted double-digit gains with kids, tweens and total viewers with "Big Time Love Song" (8:30-9 p.m. ET/PT), averaging an 8.0/1.7 million K6-11 (+57%), 6.2/1.3 million T9-14 (+68%), 6.3/2.2 million K2-11 (+29%) and delivering gains of +26% with total viewers. Following its record-setting premiere (Jan. 18), new episodes of Big Time Rush are averaging a 7.6/1.6 million kids 6-11 and 3.6 million P2+ (source: NMR, live + 7 through 1/24/10, L+SD through 2/7/10).

For the week (2/1/10-2/7/10), Nickelodeon's Saturday morning hits SpongeBob SquarePants (Feb. 6, 9:30 a.m. ET/PT) and The Penguins of Madagascar (Feb. 6, 10 a.m. ET/PT), along with iCarly "iEnrage Gibby" bested all programs on broadcast and basic cable�other than Super Bowl XLIV�with kids 2-11 and kids 6-11. The trio also netted basic cable's top three telecasts with total viewers, behind only WWE Entertainment, with SpongeBob drawing 5.5 million P2+ and Penguins 5.2 million P2+.

Quarter to date (12/28/09-2/7/10), SpongeBob ranks as the top program with kids 2-11 on all of TV, while The Penguins of Madagascar follows as TV's number-two animated kids 2-11 program.
