'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' and 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' Deliver March 22-26 Late-Night Wins
NBC spins the late-night numbers for the week of March 22-26.

'THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO' AND 'LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON' DELIVER MARCH 22-26 LATE-NIGHT WINS

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - April 1, 2010 - NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" has won the week of March 22-26 in adults 18-49 and total viewers over all cable and broadcast competition, delivering bigger audiences than CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" and ABC's combination of "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in every key ratings category: adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, as well as total viewers. Thursday and Friday CBS telecasts were delayed by basketball and are excluded from last week's averages.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" also delivered more adult 18-49 viewers than any cable or broadcast competition in the time period, while tying CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in adult 18-49 rating points during the hour.

To date, Jay Leno has ranked #1 in adult 18-49 rating on 19 of 20 nights versus "Late Show" (including a tie) since returning as host of "Tonight" on March 1. In total viewers, Jay has ranked #1 on 20 of 20 nights.

For the week of March 22-26, Jay's average 1.503 million adults 18-49 outscored Letterman's 1.354; in total viewers, Jay's audience of 4.374 million persons beat Letterman's 3.554 million; and in adults 18-34, Jay's 532,000 topped Letterman's 521,000. At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon's 827,000 adults 18-49 for the week topped Ferguson's 812,000; in total viewers, Jimmy's 1.724 million trailed Ferguson's 1.844 million; and in adults 18-34, Jimmy's 325,000 out-delivered Ferguson's 311,000.
