BRAVO EARNS BEST AUGUST EVER AMONG KEY DEMOS WITH SIX CONSECUTIVE MONTHS OF YEAR-OVER-YEAR GROWTH AND DOUBLE-DIGIT INCREASE IN TOTAL VIEWERS
Bravo Digital Records Best August Ever With Double Digit Increases In Page Views and Video Streams
NEW YORK - August 31, 2010 - Bravo earns best August in network history among all key demos, marking six consecutive months of year-over-year growth, according to Nielsen Media Research. Earning a primetime average of 987,000 total viewers (vs. 897,000) and 607,000 adults 18-49 (vs. 578,000) for the month of August, the network was up 10 percent and 5 percent respectively versus August 2009. On pace to mark its best year ever among all key demos, Bravo ranks as the No. 1 most upscale and educated cable entertainment network among adults 18-49 in primetime for the month of August and ranks as the No. 12 cable entertainment network on the dial among the coveted 18-49 demo quarter to-date. Additionally, Bravo Digital marked its best August ever in page views and video streams with double digit increases, up 41 percent (127.32 million vs. 117.50 million) and 31 percent (7.45 million vs. 5.71 million) respectively versus August 2009.
Bravo's original programming set records this month, marking back-to-back best Tuesday and Wednesday nights of the year on August 10th and August 11th. Bravo recorded its highest rated Tuesday primetime of the year with the season four premiere of "Flipping Out" earning its highest rated season premiere ever across all key demos (1.27 million total viewers and 799,000 adults 18-49) and episode two of "The Rachel Zoe Project" scoring its highest rated episode in series history (1.28 million total viewers and 847,000 adults 18-49). Then, following Bravo's best Tuesday night of the year, the network also marked its best Wednesday primetime year-to-date among all key demos fueled by episode nine of "Top Chef D.C.," averaging 2.48 million total viewers and 1.62 million adults 18-49, and the season finale of "Work of Art" (1.48 million total viewers and 826,000 adults 18-49).
Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise continues to deliver for the network. Watercooler juggernaut "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" season two averaged 2,227000 adults 18-49 and 3,103,000 total viewers, up 17 percent (vs. 1,905,000) and 22 percent (vs. 2,551,000) respectively versus the season one average. The finale episode earned the title of most watched episode of the season, the highest rated Monday telecast ever and the highest rated telecast of the year among total viewers. The newest ladies on the block, "The Real Housewives of D.C.," continue to perform well, averaging 988,000 adults 18-49 and 1,564,000 total viewers through four episodes, with the premiere earning highest rated 9pm series premiere among total viewers in Bravo history.??
"The Rachel Zoe Project" season three marks its highest rated season to-date with double digit growth versus season two, averaging 806,000 adults 18-49 and 1,203,000 total viewers through four episodes, up 17 percent (vs. 688,000) and 29 percent (vs. 931,000) respectively from the first four episodes of the prior season. The buzzy freshman competition series "Work of Art" performed well for Bravo, averaging 809,000 adults 18-49 and 1,369,000 total viewers, with the finale topping the charts as the highest rated episode of the season. Emmy-winning "Top Chef" continues to be a ratings hit for the network, with season seven averaging 2,008,000 adults 18-49 and 3,021,000 total viewers to-date. "Flipping Out" season four adds good numbers to the mix, with an average of 822,000 adults18-49 and 1,311,000 total viewers to-date. "Bethenny Getting Married?," which ended its run in August and earned the title of having the highest rated series premiere in Bravo history, averaged 1,493,000 adults 18-49 and 2,280,000 total viewers throughout its successful first season.
