SEASON TO DATE, 'TONIGHT' IS MATCHING ITS YEAR-AGO 18-49 RATING AND IS UP 52 PERCENT IN TOTAL VIEWERS

FOR THE SEASON, JIMMY FALLON IS EQUALING HIS 18-49 RATING OF ONE YEAR AGO AND IS GENERATING A 27 PERCENT INCREASE IN TOTAL VIEWERS

'LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY' HITS A 16-WEEK HIGH IN TOTAL VIEWERS AND IS UP SEASON TO DATE BY 26 PERCENT

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - January 7, 2011 - NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" has delivered ratings victories for the week of December 27-31, as encore telecasts won the time period over all cable and broadcast entertainment competition in viewers 18-49 and total viewers. At 12:35 a.m. ET, rebroadcasts of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" also delivered bigger audiences in adults 18-49 than any cable or broadcast entertainment competition in the hour. Note that most Friday late-night telecasts were preempted or excluded from these averages due to the New Year's Eve holiday and that Tuesday NBC late-night shows were delayed by an NFL overrun.

Through the first 15 weeks of the 2010-11 season, "Tonight" is leading CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman " by 11 percent in adult 18-49 viewers (1.287 million vs. 1.162 million), up from a 1 percent lead at this point last season (1.357 million vs. 1.350 million). In total viewers, "Tonight" leads "Late Show" through 15 weeks of the season by an 8 percent margin (3.861 million vs. 3.577 million), reversing the order of one year ago, when "Late Show" led by a 66 percent advantage (4.202 million vs. 2.533 million).

Through the first 15 weeks of the 2010-11 season, Jimmy Fallon is leading CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" by an 18 percent margin in adult 18-49 viewers (808,000 vs. 685,000), reversing the order of one year ago, when "Late Late Show" held a 1 percent lead (797,000 vs. 792,000). In total viewers, Jimmy has cut the year-ago "Late Late Show" lead down to 1 percent (1.782 million vs. 1.768 million) from its year-ago 40 percent (1.945 million vs. 1.390 million).

Versus the first 15 weeks of last season, "Tonight" is matching its year-ago 1.0 rating in adults 18-49 and is running within 5 percent of its year-ago 18-49 viewership (1.287 million vs. 1.357 million), while "Late Show" is down 10 percent in rating (0.9 vs. 1.0) and down 14 percent in 18-49 viewers (1.162 million vs. 1.350 million). At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon is matching his year-ago 0.6 rating in adults 18-49 and is up 2 percent in 18-49 viewers (808,000 vs. 792,000), while "Late Late Show" is down in rating by 17 percent (0.5 vs. 0.6) and down in 18-49 viewers by 14 percent (685,000 vs. 797,000).

In total viewers, "Tonight" is up 52 percent versus its average viewership for the first 15 weeks of last season (3.861 million vs. 2.533 million), while "Late Show" is down 15 percent (3.577 million vs. 4.202 million). At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon is up 27 percent versus his year-ago pace in total viewers (1.768 million vs. 1.390 million), while "Late Late Show" is down 8 percent (1.782 million vs. 1.945 million).

At 1:35 a.m. ET, "Last Call with Carson Daly" is up so far this season versus one year ago by 12 percent in 18-49 viewers (499,000 vs. 444,000) and up 26 percent in total viewers (1.000 million vs. 796,000).

For the week of December 27-31, encore telecasts of "Last Call with Carson Daly" generated the show's biggest overall viewership, 1.127million persons, in the last 16 weeks (since the week of September 6-10).
