90210 Has Most Watched and Highest Rated Episode Since February
Gossip Girl Up 25% in Adults 18-34 and 14% in Women 18-34
Versus Last Original Episode
April 19, 2011 - (Burbank, CA) - Viewers couldn't wait to get back to Beverly Hills and the Upper East Side, as 90210 returned with its most watched and highest rated episode since February 7th last night, and GOSSIP GIRL saw big jumps from its last original on February 28th, according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for April 18, 2011.
90210 had its most watched (1.7M) and highest rated episode since Feb. 7th last night in all key demos, including adults 18-34 (1.0/3), women 18-34 (1.5/5), adults 18-49 (0.8/2) and women 18-49 (1.2/3). Compared to its last original episode on Feb. 28th, 90210 was up 21% in total viewers, up 50% in women 18-34, up 43% in adults 18-34, and up 14% in adults 18-49.
Last night was the best performance for GOSSIP GIRL in women 18-34 since Feb. 7th. GOSSIP GIRL was also #2 in the hour (tie) among women 18-34.
GOSSIP GIRL returned up 7% in total viewers (1.5M) from its last original episode on Feb. 28th, up 25% in adults 18-34 (1.0/3) and up 14% in both women 18-34 (1.6/4) and adults 18-49 (0.8/2).
The CW had its most watched Monday night since Feb. 7th (1.6M viewers), and its highest ratings among adults 18-34 (1.0/3) and women 18-34 (1.5/4). It was the network's highest rated Monday among adults 18-49 (0.8/2) since Feb. 21st.
90210 and GOSSIP GIRL are two of the most DVRed shows on television. This season, GOSSIP GIRL has seen a 32% increase in total viewers, the third-largest increase on broadcast television, and a 40% increase in women 18-34 when Live + 7 data is added into Live + Same Day averages. 90210 is averaging a 28% jump in total viewers and a 34% increase among women 18-34.
