ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Tops CBS' "Ferguson" in Viewers 5 Weeks in a Row

During the week of April 11, 2011, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live saw year-to-year increases in both Total Viewers (+4%) and Adults 18-49 (+9%), scoring its 5th consecutive week of yearly gains in viewers and building over the year-ago week for the 4th time in the last 5 weeks in young adults. In addition, JKL grew over the prior week by 5% in Adults 18-49.
· Hitting season-highs, a repeat airing of Friday's telecast (4/15/11), featuring guests Norm MacDonald, "Happy Endings'" Elisha Cuthbert and Funeral Party, drew JKL's largest Adult 18-34 audience on the night in 10 months - since 6/18/10. On that evening, the encore telecast of JKL bested an original telecast of CBS' The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson by 10% in Total Viewers, by 24% in Adults 18-49 and by an impressive 40% in Adults 18-34.
· For the week, ABC's JKL outperformed CBS' Ferguson in Total Viewers (+5%) for the 5th week running and topped the CBS late-night program in Adults 18-49 (+8%) for the 3rd time in the last 4 weeks.
· On average for the season to date (30 weeks), Jimmy Kimmel Live posts increases over the comparable weeks last year in both Total Viewers (+4%) and Adults 18-49 (+3%).
· For the season to date, ABC's JKL beats CBS' Craig Ferguson by 3% in Adults 18-49.

"NIGHTLINE" IS #1 SEASON TO DATE AMONG ADULTS 25-54,
ADULTS 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1993
During the week of April 11, 2011, ABC's "Nightline" ranked No. 1 across all key target demos: Total Viewers (3.847 million), Adults 25-54 (1.603 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.256 million), according to Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers for the 8th straight week, while taking the top spot in both key adult demos for the 7th time in the last 8 weeks.
"Nightline" saw week-to-week increases in Adults 25-54 (+2%) and Adults 18-49 (+5%), growing over the prior week for the 4th time in the last 5 weeks. In fact, the ABC program stood as the only late night program to be up compared to CBS' "The Late Show" (-5% and -6%, respectively) and NBC's "The Tonight Show" (-2% and -4%, respectively).
"Nightline" improved on its performance on the same week last year across all key demos: Total Viewers (+4%), Adults 25-54 (+6%) and Adults 18-49 (+2%). Additionally, the ABC late-night program extended its year over year growth in Total Viewers to 9 straight weeks.
Season to date, "Nightline" ranks first in late-night among Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49. This is the first time ever that "Nightline" has been in first place at this point in the season since at least the 1993-94 season, when "Letterman" began on CBS. In addition, "Nightline" is up by +3% in Total Viewers and by +4% in Adults 25-54 compared to the same point last year. Season to date "Nightline" is drawing its largest overall audience in 8 years - since the 2002-03 season.
