Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: "AGT," "Voice" Get Dinged Against Game 4

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night:

ABC (11.16 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.5, #1) claimed the top spot on Tuesday with its mix of "Jimmy Kimmel: Game Night" (6.41 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.2, #5), "NBA Countdown" (7.36 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.9, #4) and the "NBA Finals, Game 4" (13.30 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.5, #1).

NBC (12.40 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.2, #2) then was bumped to second place with new episodes of "America's Got Talent" (12.70 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.6, #3) and "The Voice" (12.25 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 4.5, #2).

Next up was CBS (7.90 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4) with encores of "NCIS" (8.92 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T7), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (8.82 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T7) and "The Good Wife" (5.96 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #11).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.65 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) offered up night two of "Masterchef" (4.53 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.9, #6) followed by repeats of "Raising Hope" (2.73 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T9) and another "Raising Hope" (2.82 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T9).

And finally, repeats of "One Tree Hill" (0.73 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12) and "Hellcats" (0.53 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #13) on The CW (0.63 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) rounded out the night.

Week-to-week changes (adults 18-49): The Voice (-8.20%), America's Got Talent (-14.30%).

In late-night metered market ratings (via NBC's press release):

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 3.5/8; and CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/6. ABC's "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" were delayed by an NBA overrun.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 1.3/5; and "Late Show," 0.6/2.

At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.7/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.8/5 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 1.1/5 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.5/4 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (6/8/10):

ABC (10.53 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.3, #1) was the network to beat with its "NBA Finals, Game 3" (11.53 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.8, #1) coverage. Leading off the evening then were its pre-game half-hours "Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night" (8.09 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.9, #6) and "NBA Countdown" (8.96 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 3.5, #4).

Bumped to second place then was FOX (8.93 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.9, #2) with week two of "Hell's Kitchen" (6.94 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 3.2, #5) and the season finale of "Glee" (10.92 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 4.6, #2).

Next up was NBC (8.84 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.6, #3) with an encore of "America's Got Talent" (7.61 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T7) followed by an original "America's Got Talent" (13.01 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.7, #3) and a new "Losing It With Jillian" (5.90 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T7).

Meanwhile, CBS (9.18 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4) settled into fourth with its all-repeat mix of "NCIS" (11.10 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T9), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (9.48 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T9) and "The Good Wife" (6.99 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #11).

And finally, second runs of "90210" (0.76 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) and "Life Unexpected" (0.56 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) on The CW (0.66 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) rounded out the evening.
