CBS WINS FRIDAY IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOS FOR THE FOURTH CONSECUTIVE WEEK

"A Gifted Man" Places First in Viewers and Adults 25-54

"CSI: NY" Sweeps its Time Period

"Blue Bloods" is the Night's #1 Program in Viewers and First in its Time Period in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

CBS placed first on Friday in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the fourth consecutive week, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 14.

At 8:00 PM, A GIFTED MAN was first in households (5.0/09) and viewers (7.71m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (1.8/06, with both ABC and FOX) and averaged a 1.2/04 in adults 18-49. Compared to the time period last year ("Medium"), A GIFTED MAN was up +25% in households, +6% in adults 25-54 and +9% in adults 18-49.

At 9:00 PM, CSI: NY was first in households (6.3/11), viewers (10.13m), adults 25-54 (2.4/07) and adults 18-49 (1.7/05). CSI: NY swept its time slot for the fourth consecutive week.

At 10:00 PM, BLUE BLOODS won its time period in households (7.1/13), viewers (11.19m), adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and adults 18-49 (1.8/05). BLUE BLOODS won its time slot in viewers for the fourth straight week and placed first in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 for the third straight Friday. Compared to the same night last year, BLUE BLOODS was up +4% in adults 25-54 and +6% in adults 18-49.

For the night, CBS was first in households (6.2/11), viewers (9.67m), adults 25-54 (2.3/06) and adults 18-49 (1.5/05) for the fourth consecutive week in the 2011-2012 season.

Note: DVR penetration is at 42%, up from 38% last year. Last fall, Live+7 audiences for original entertainment series on CBS gained over 1.8 million viewers, on average, over Live+ Same Day ratings, more than any other network. This season, we expect DVR penetration to continue to increase and, as a result, we expect DVR playback audiences to grow to as well.
