SYFY'S ORIGINAL MINISERIES "NEVERLAND" ENCHANTS NEARLY 2.6 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS DURING ITS FIRST NIGHT SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4

NEW YORK - December 6, 2011 - The opening night of Syfy's original miniseries Neverland captivated 2.59 million total viewers during its premiere on Sunday, December 4 from 9-11PM (ET/PT), up 5% compared to Syfy's last original miniseries Alice in 2009.

Kicking off Syfy's second annual Countdown to Christmas Week, Neverland also delivered 1.13 million Adults 25-54 and 909,000 Adults 18-49.

Buoyed by Neverland, Syfy was a top ten primetime entertainment cable network on Sunday, December 4, ranking #6 among Adults 25-54 and total viewers, and #8 in Adults 18-49.

Neverland, an original prequel to author J.M. Barrie's classic Peter Pan, sweeps in time from the turbulent seas of the pirates of the Caribbean and the back alleys of Dickensian London to a world of pure imagination. The film stars Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man) as James Hook, Kiera Knightley as the voice of Tinker Bell, Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies) as Captain Elizabeth Bonny, Oscar nominee Bob Hoskins as Smee (who previously played the character in Steven Spielberg's feature Hook), Raoul Trujillo (Tin Man) and Charlie Rowe (Pirate Radio) as one of literature's most cherished characters, Peter Pan. Neverland is produced by Dublin-based Parallel Films on behalf of MNG Films, in association with Syfy and Sky Movies HD, and will be distributed by RHI Entertainment.

Syfy's Countdown to Christmas Week will continue with the holiday-themed episodes of Eureka (8PM), Warehouse 13 (9PM) and Haven (10PM) on Tuesday, December 6 and Ghost Hunters on Wednesday, December 7 at 9PM, and the Saturday Original Movie Snowmageddon on Saturday, December 10 at 9PM.

Syfy is a media destination for imagination-based entertainment. With year round acclaimed original series, events, blockbuster movies, classic science fiction and fantasy programming, a dynamic Web site (www.Syfy.com), and a portfolio of adjacent business (Syfy Ventures), Syfy is a passport to limitless possibilities. Originally launched in 1992 as SCI FI Channel, and currently in more than 98 million homes, Syfy is a network of NBCUniversal, one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies. (Syfy.
