Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: "American Idol" Marches to Another Victory

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night:

FOX (16.08 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.4, #1) continued its reign on Wednesday with another two-hour "American Idol" (16.08 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.4, #1).

CBS (10.60 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.7, #2) then claimed the silver with its mix of "Survivor: One World" (9.72 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.7, #4), "Criminal Minds" (11.49 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.8, #3) - tied as its series low - and the season finale of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (10.60 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.4, #5) - its lowest-rated season finale ever.

Next up was ABC (7.11 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.5, #3) and its original lineup of "The Middle" (6.56 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.9, #9) - a season low, "Suburgatory" (5.99 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.1, #8), "Modern Family" (10.38 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 4.3, #2), "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" (5.80 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 2.3, #6) and "Revenge" (6.97 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.2, #7).

Meanwhile, NBC (4.95 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (5.58 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.5, #12), a second "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (5.40 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.6, #11), "Rock Center With Brian Williams" (3.65 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #13) and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (5.72 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.7, #10).

And finally, an encore of "America's Next Top Model" (0.92 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #15) led into a new "America's Next Top Model" (1.05 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #14) on The CW (0.99 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Top Model" delivered a 0.5 rating at 8:00/7:00c and a 0.6 rating at 9:00/8:00c.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; "Nightline," 1.0/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.4/3).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
