NBC RATINGS RESULTS FOR THE LATE-NIGHT WEEK OF MAY 28-JUNE 1

FOR THE BROADCAST YEAR TO DATE, JAY LENO AND JIMMY FALLON INCREASE THEIR TOTAL-VIEWER MARGINS VS. LAST YEAR

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 7, 2012 - NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" has delivered bigger audiences in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key ratings categories versus CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" in a week of rebroadcasts for both shows during which Monday results were excluded due to the Memorial Day holiday. Also note that Wednesday NBC results are excluded from the averages due to a hockey overrun.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, encore telecasts of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" out-delivered originals of CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" for the week of May 28-June 1 in all key categories: adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, as well as total viewers.

For the week, "Tonight" and "Late Show" tied in adult 18-49 rating with a 0.6 each, while in viewers 18-49, "Tonight" posted a 4 percent margin of victory (with 827,000 adults 18-49 vs. 799,000). "Tonight" delivered bigger audiences than "Late Show" for the week in every key ratings category.

Through the first 37 weeks of the 2011-12 broadcast year, "Tonight" has increased its total-viewer margin over "Late Show" to 16 percent (3.695 million vs. 3.196 million), up from the year-ago season-to-date advantage of 10 percent. Jimmy Fallon has also established a total-viewer lead over "Late Late Show" this season of 16 percent (1.763 million vs. 1.521 million), up from last year's advantage of 1 percent. Jimmy has also increased his season-to-date lead over "Late Late Show" in adults 18-34, to 42 percent (277,000 vs. 195,000) up from last year's 25 percent, and in adults 25-54, up to 12 percent (860,000 vs. 769,000) from 2 percent at this point last season.

"Tonight" delivered a bigger 18-49 audience than "Late Show" for the 20th time in 24 weeks while Jimmy Fallon attracted a bigger 18-49 audience than "Late Late Show" for a 27th week in a row.
