48 HOURS MYSTERY: "LONG ISLAND SERIAL KILLER" WAS SATURDAY'S #1 PROGRAM IN HOUSEHOLDS, VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54
CBS News' 48 HOURS MYSTERY was Saturday's #1 program in households, viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for June 23.
In the 10:00 PM hour, 48 HOURS MYSTERY (R) was first in households (3.4/07), viewers (5.03m) and delivered (1.4/04) in adults 25-54. Compared to the same night last year, 48 HOURS MYSTERY was up +13% in households, +17% in adults 25-54 and +11% in adults 18-49.
The broadcast featured Erin Moriarty's report of new information about the murder of Shannan Gilbert, an escort who went missing in May 2010. The search for Gilbert led police to the alleged Long Island Serial Killer's graveyard on a secluded New York beach. Ten bodies were found and the killer is still out there.
