Disney Channel July 12 Total Day and Prime Highlights

For July 2012, Disney Channel was #1 in Total Viewers (2.04 million) across Total Day against all cable channels, extending its reign to 8 record-setting consecutive weeks. For the month, Disney Channel surpassed Nickelodeon by 21% - its largest competitive advantage on record.

Among kid demographics, Disney Channel had the month's Top TV series -- "Shake It Up," "Good Luck Charlie," "Jessie" and "Gravity Falls" -- ranking as the #1 TV network in Total Day for the 15th consecutive month in Kids 6-11 (842,000/3.4 rating) and for the 27th consecutive month Tweens 9-14 (713,000/3.0 rating) - both records for the network - and was the #1 TV network for the 5th time in the prior 6 months in Kids 2-11 (1.17 million/2.8 rating).

Disney Channel out-performed Nickelodeon by double-digit percentages for the 13th consecutive month in Kids 6-11 (52% - 842,000 vs. 553,000) and Tweens 9-14 (58% - 713,000 vs. 451,000), for the 2nd consecutive month in Kids 2-11 (35% - 1.17 million vs. 868,000), and levied its biggest advantage ever in Total Viewers (21% - 2.04 million vs. 1.69 million).

In Prime, Disney Channel extended its streak as TV's #1 network to 89 consecutive months in Kids 6-11 (1.23 million/5.0 rating) and to 84 months in a row in Tweens 9-14 (984,000/4.1 rating).
