"Katie" Scores its Best Number Since Debut Week to Earn its 2nd-Highest Rating Ever

Continuing to Lead the Freshman Class of Syndicated Talk Shows, "Katie" Scores its Best Number Since Debut Week to Earn its 2nd-Highest Rating Ever

Newcomer "Katie" Ranks No. 1 in its Slot in Each of the Top 4 U.S. Markets

"Katie" Metered Market Ratings for 9/25/12

Nationally syndicated "Katie" topped the 2012-13 freshman class of daytime talk shows for its 12th straight broadcast in Homes (2.3/7), outdelivering "Steve Harvey" by 53% (1.5/4), "Jeff Probst" by 188% (0.8/3) and "Ricki Lake" by 229% (0.7/2). Also worth noting, freshman "Katie" continued to pace well ahead of sophomore "Anderson Live" (+92% - 1.2/4), while also beating out veterans "Dr. Oz" by (+10% - 2.1/6) and "Rachael Ray" (+53% - 1.5/5). In addition, "Katie" tied "Ellen" in audience share (2.6/7), with a 7 share for each show. Featuring Barbara Streisand as a guest, "Katie" scored its best number since its debut week (since 9/12/12), equaling the show's 2nd highest rating ever.

· "Katie" finished No. 1 in its time period in 9 markets, including each of the Top 4 U.S. TV markets -- New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Philadelphia. In fact, in New York (3.0/9) and Chicago (3.0/9), the show hit its highest ratings since its debut telecast, and in Philadelphia (3.3/9) it earned its best-ever rating.

· "Katie" posted solid double-digit gains from Monday to Tuesday in both Households (+35% - 2.3/7 vs. 1.7/5) and Women 25-54 (+25% - 1.0/6 vs. 0.8/5).

· Overall, "Katie" finished among the Top 5 syndicated talk shows for the day in HHs and W25-54.

"Katie" is executive-produced by Katie Couric and Jeff Zucker and is distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television. Co-executive producers are Kathy Samuels and Michael Bass and the program is directed by Joseph Terry.
